If you want luxury accommodation in the centre of things in London - this is not for you. If you want fantastic value for money (by London standards) in a quiet but interesting neighbourhood, near to a tube station only 4 stops (with a change) to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament, then this is perfect. I had a small single room with ensuite shower. The staff were excellent, the room clean and basically, but adquately furnished, and there was a television and telephone. I spent 4 comfortable nights here and would certainly return. My sister stayed at the Premier Inn in Victoria, which was in a slightly better location, with lots of restaurants and cafes about, and a few more hotel facilities, but at around double the price I'm glad I stayed where I did. The actual building is rather unattractive - it reminds me of a 1970s job centre - but step inside the door and enjoy a comfortable stay.

Stayed one night in September 2013. Room and accomodation was very clean. Member of staff on front reception was very helpful and friendly. Price was good and affordable. Only a short walk from underground station. There is a decent pub nearby about 2 minutes walk.

This is possibly one of the best budget accomodations I have stayed in in London. The location is not exactly central but it is quiet and reasonably close to Borough Tube station and bus route into the city although the walk to London Bridge is not far. Just check there are no cancellations or maintenance on the Northern Line during your stay as it can be a real pain to get anywhere quickly without the tube running. The number 68 bus from Elephant and castle takes you all the way to Euston station and backnand there are plenty of busses on the main road into the city. Initially I was a little afraid of walking the steet alone at night but actually the area is very safe. The single room was basic and small but spotlessly clean with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and free Wifi. The teeny bathroom was also spotlessly clean and modern. The room was light and airy and the bed very comfortable. One of the best sleeps I have even had in London probably due to the quiet location and soft matress. It was a bit like staying in a friends well kept spare room with an en suite. The reception staff were all very courteous and helpful. There is a microwave for communal use and cutlery and plates available if needed. There is no on site restaurant or cafe but plenty close by.

Room Tip: There is no lift and some of the rooms have only a view of a wall. Ask if you are more comfortable with a room with a view.

Pros-
•Good location close to tower bridge and borough tube station.
•Quick and easy check in.
•Easy to navigate around hotel although corridors quite narrow.
•Free wifi code given on check in.
•Hotel room was just what we needed although quite small- somewhere to sleep, shower and get ready (we stayed in a double deluxe)
•Good modern appliances e.g. Small kettle, hair dryer, modern bathroom.
•Fresh towels, tea, coffee, and biscuits restocked each day.

Cons-
•Rooms are quite small (some may see as a con).
•Wet room/ bathroom due to the shower just having a curtain the whole floor got wet.
•Old rubbish was found in the wardrobe from previous guests.

My partner and I stayed here one night. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but with all the mod cons of tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, flat screen TV and WiFi. It is a short walk from both Elephant and Castle and Borough tubes which is ideal if you come into Waterloo. We both slept well as it was very quiet.Very good value for money for a central London location and we will use them again. No eating facilities on site but plenty round and about.
