We had such a fun, brilliant evening yesterday doing the London Underground Treasure Hunt (it was one of my partner's little extra Christmas presents from me in 2013). We were a team of 2 (Double D's) and came 7/29, probably the oldest people there and even managed to triumph over our final tube train back to base being taken out of service 20 minutes before the time deadline and so needing to find a new route back (have to say the dash up the left hand side of the escalator at Green Park nearly KILLED me!). The master of the Hunt said all of the score data was the highest in 18 months of running the tour - highest losing team, highest top 10, top 5 and the top 2 scores where the first over 600 in the entire run of the game!
TIP: park nearest railway station and buy a cheap day travel ticket that includes unlimited tube travel on Zone 1 - WAY WAY cheaper than using your oyster

5 friends and I took part in the London Underground treasure Hunt on Thursday this week. It was really great fun. Well organised with great cryptic clues. Every participant given an instruction sheet, a pen and a tube map. Important to work as a team, you also need a smart phone and/or a camera. It also helps if you've got a lot of nerve as you will need to chat to strangers!
When we got back, the marking process did take quite a long time but then there were 29 teams!
There were copious quantities of prizes and every team received something which was a lovely touch.
I would really recommend this to any groups, I would say maybe teams of 4 upwards would be best.
A really fun evening.

Thank you very much for the review and we are glad that you all enjoyed the Treasure Hunt.

The event is 2 1/2 hours in total whiich includes the scoring and prize giving at the end. We alllow a time window of 15 minutes for teams to arrive back at base for the scoring and then the scoring and prize giving combined takes another 15 minutes.

There were 25 teams on your hunt scored at the end and we have got the speed of the scoring and the prize giving down to a fine art.

The event is incredibly popular but we limit the number of teams to 32 and typically the amount on any given Treasure Hunt is between 15 and 30. This is one of the reasons why we award so many prizes. Main prize bags for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. 8 additional spot prizes for special Treasure Hunt challenges and as you said also consolation prizes for all teams.

Thank you again for taking the Treasure Hunt.

Kind regards,

London Premier Walking Tours

We did the London Underground Treasure hunt a couple of days ago. Very different way to spend some time in London. Fun challenges that pushed you outside your comfort zone at times, but we got to meet lots of people who all got into the spirit of it! Lots of prizes! Would definitely recommend it.

I did the Jack the Ripper treasure hunt and it was really good! Really well organised, clues that were tough, but not too difficult and had the right mixture of fun, history, time & distance. Making it a competition was also awesome!

I would have given it 5, if it wasn't for the rain!!! Not that Premier can do anything about that, though maybe laminate the instructions too as the rain demolished our paper ones :)

Thank you very much for the review and we are glad that you enjoyed our unique event, The Jack The Ripper Murder Hunt, the live actors that we have in the murder area, the varied clues and challenges and the great Ripper prizes awarded at the end by Detective Inspector Frederick Abberline of Scotland Yard and The Whitechapel H Division.

Unfortunately there were some showers that night and although we laminated the murder maps, you are right that the we didn't laminate the clue sheets so we will be doing this for future Jack The Ripper Murder Hunts. Thanks again for your feed back which we have put into action to make the event even better.

Kind regards, London Premier Walking Tours.
