We've stayed at one of the apartments of Marylebone Lodge with two small kids. The convenience of staying in an apartment when traveling with kids as opposed to a hotel room is second to none. The location could not have been any better; it's 3 minutes walk from the tube, 2 minutes walk to the closest bus stations, 15 minutes walk to Madame Tussauds, and best of all, there's a Tesco right next to it. The apartment itself was very spacious; ours could easily accomodate a family of 4 (kids are young). It also had a big screen plasma TV (probably 50") which is not so common to find in apartments. As another reviewer pointed out, it was a little noisy; one of the living room windows did not seal fully and that was the cause of the problem. The other windows though, such as the one in the bedroom, sealed fine and did not allow any noise from the outside. So if they fix that window noise will not be as issue.
In terms of cleanliness, everything was sparkling clean, and the apartment was cleaned every day. New towels were brought in as well for everyone. As apartments go, it had everything one would need; full size fridge (not those mini ones found in hotels), stove, microwave, dish washer, oven, water boiler, and a hair dryer. All appliances were brand new. And of course, it had free WiFi.
All in all, the apartment amenities and size, its location and a Tesco near by made our stay with kids amazing and relaxful. And the price was the cheapest I could find at the time so definitely a value for money at less than 100 pounds per night for what you get.
Would definitely stay there again when in London.
