“good start to the weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2013

after visiting the Affordable Art fair on the Heath , we walked the short distance to hampstead high Street for an early dinner. Very good value before 7pm but looks expensive after that.
Our last trip to Cote was the Charlotte Street branch where the cooking was very poor. This is much better though. Ratatouille on toast ok. Sea bass too small for blokes but good. grilled chicken and beans also good. Excellent Muscadet , not so good on the 'spicy' red. Vanilla ice cream average but wonderful Strawberry flavour with bits.
Service was pleasant but VERY slow, so don't go if you are don't have time to chill out. It's not the waiters fault , they appear to be understaffed.

“Fabulous experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2013

While in the area for an event, my friends and I chose Cote on the spur of the moment. What a lovely choice! All of our food was delicious, my seafood with linguine was the best I've tasted. It was clearly popular and had a pleasant busy atmosphere. Would love to go again.

“Good food but overworked staff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2013 via mobile

Having visited cote in Charlotte Street and really enjoyed it, I expected the same here. Unfortunately the team were rushed off their feet and although always had a smile, it was rather chaotic. Food as always was good. Get more staff working on a Sunday night please.

“Good value lunch, very good service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2013

My wife and I had the 3 course lunch yesterday for 13.90 each (which included £2 supplement for the Steak Frite) and it was pretty good value. Starters were asparagus (such an overated dish) and smoked mackeral pate on sourdough (very good) followed by the steak frites (alright a bit chewey in parts) and desserts of Chocolate Pot with Creme Fraiche and Creme Caramel. With 2 glasses of wine and 12.5% service charge the lot came to £42.75. Pretty good. And for once I didn't mind having a service charge added - it was really efficient and friendly. I would go again.

“Consistent, friendly and efficient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2013

This is a branch of a chain offering good value for money. The bistro-type fare is nicely presented and consistently good. They'll never have a Michelin star, but for a predictably good meal from a broad menu - all served by a smiling, efficient staff - we are happy to go to Cote
