The actual guesthouse itself was not horrible. The room had a secure lock on it, the bed was fine, and the place was pretty spacious. The "private bathroom" was literally a stall with a European handheld shower head with a curtain, all barely quartered off from the room. There was also no air conditioning. What we did not know going in, which I think people should know, is the neighborhood- apparently it is extremely dangerous. I heard noises on the street in the middle of the night and was very nervous. It is about 45 minutes from the center of town, but had we known about how dangerous the area was, we never would have stayed there.
They tell you to call before you are to arrive, and if you are to get in after 9 PM. We called as soon as we got our phones and our flights landed, which was around 8:40 PM. The woman on the phone yelled at me that I should have let her known earlier and said that I would need to get there by 10 PM. We have never been to the UK and didn't know our whereabouts, so by the time we got to the place, it was around 11 PM. She told us someone would be waiting for us, and they were not. We had to call and wait for 15 minutes for someone to show up to let us in.
If you are comfortable with staying in this kind of area and in a guesthouse with other strangers, this might work for you. For anyone else, I would look elsewhere.

This is the worst place in London we have stayed. When we arrived at 1A Dickens Road (where we had booked) we were told that our room had been taken by another "distressed" traveller.

We were then taken approximately 2ks further away, to a disgustingly dirty house at 65 Melbourne Street. We have been informed by other tenants that this happens all the time i.e. you think you are booking one location but you are actually paying more for a disgusting room.

I would never ever stay here again, please do not waste your money on such a terrible place.

Me, my boyfriend, his didter and my brother stayed at the Apples Inn for five nights at the end of May. When we arrived, we called the manager who came in about five minutes, took us in, the place was brilliant and the gentleman very nice and friendly. Our rooms were faultless, the place was clean, the kitchen was great, we were cooking meals, bought the supplies in the near supermarkets, the closest one was just behind the corner, The hostel we stayed in had six rooms, two bathroms with baths. All people staying in the house were very polite and friendly, real pleasure! The underground was about 10 minutes far, we tend to stop on the way from the town to home in one of the local pubs (there was loads of Indian people = indian shops, indian restaurants, all lovely people!) and always got a warm welcome. There is a Lidl just next to the underground station if you need a big supermarket or Primark 5 mins walk from the station if you are into clothes.

All in all, the place was a real value for the money and we all agreed to book again for next year. Thumbs up for Apples Inn 3 and thank you for a great shelter!

We had a really hard time getting to the inn from the centre of London, it took well over an hour. We called to make sure the reception would still be open to receive us. We had contact over the phone and were assured everything would be fine. When we got to the house there was nobody to let us in. We are deeply disappointed and disillusioned with this secluded "hotel" and had to get another hotel last minute.

Me & my friend was travelling from france to london. we booked the room in apples inn for 11 nights. we were very anxious about the place how it will be but when we arrived there around 9pm the host was there and welcome us very warmly. They gave us an unsuits room. The room was very lovely, it was decorated like a honeymoon suit. The place was very clean and has a lovely kitchen with all appliances. We made a delicious dinner almost every night. Supermarkets are 5 minutes away from the guest house. Cleaner came everyday to clean & they provide us fresh towels everyday. The place is very nice and clean, compare to the price it was a five star accommodation to me. The host was very friendly. We didn’t feel that we were in a guest house, it feels like we are at our own home. I recommends every one who wants five star treat in less price should stay in Apples Inn.
