Stayed here for 3 nights in early May 2014. Detailed review below but I wouldn't stay here again. There are better options in this price range and location.

Location: Very good location near fleet street and St. Paul's Cathedral. You can walk to most tourist attractions from here.

Room: As expected for central london, room was small but that wasn't an issue. Comfortable bed, functional washroom, very clean. Tiny TV, probably less than 22". No iron/board or safe. Could not get a good night's sleep for all 3 nights due to the poor air conditioning. It turns off after a few hours and does not come back on. Lowest temperature setting is 19 Celsius but room felt hot all night. Called service desk on second night and was told they dont have any fans and there wasnt anything they could do. Asked for a thin sheet to use instead of the duvet and it arrived promptly. Windows dont open either for safety. Changed room after 2 nights but same issue. So much for the good night sleep guarantee, sure didn't get a good night sleep. Must say that the reception staff changed our room without any questions, that was nice. They were very friendly.

Restaurant: Good food, slow service.

Overall it was disappointing since the most important criteria for me is a restful sleep and I couldn't get that there.

My wife and I were in London celebrating our wedding anniversary with dinner & a show and needed a hotel that was within reasonable walking distance from our desired venue. Premier Inn fit the bill and then some, the super easy self check-in kiosks started the experience off right with no waiting just confirmed our reservations and straight up to our room. The room we had was a standard double, but was well furnished, very clean and extraordinarily quiet. If you're a light sleeper this place is for you. The all you can eat continental breakfast the following morning was the cherry on top to a delightful stay. We will be staying there again in the future.

The hotel was clean, secure, and quiet and is in a great location for sightseeing. The hotel appears to cater to families but makes an effort to make sure the public areas are quiet. The only complaint is that we asked a number of times for an extra towel and never received it. I would stay here again.

Ideal for family visiting London. Close to St Paul & the river. Good service. Breakfast expensive but free for kids. Left luggage facility. Free wifi for 30 minutes only. Good value for money in London.

To start with, the hotel is very close to Blackfriars tube and rail station, making it ideal not only for going around London, but also arriving and departing through Gatwick with direct trains. The location also means walking distance to all attractions on the South Bank and elsewhere. The hotel is in a rather quiet block and not along a main thoroughfare as some, but even so I guess it could have been noisy and it was not. Being rather new, of course it still looks nice and clean, but here it feels as if they intend to keep it that way too. It is often a bit more expensive than other Premier Inns, which I take to mean that others have discovered this too and book it.
Everything is as you expect regarding the purple style and food on offer, but here it comes with even more service than usual and in a building which, unlike some Premier Inns, is open in its interior and doesn't have a tiny, cramped restaurant in the basement. We arrived late one evening, but could still buy a fruit salad in the bar to snack on when we asked, and it just felt welcoming and professional. No long breakfast queues as is often the case elsewhere. We also had no issues with heating (it was December) or air conditioning which can sometimes be the case elsewhere. Would have given this Excellent rating if I didn't need to save that category for the five star hotels.
