“A great location for families”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

This hotel is just what's needed for a simple and easy stay in London.
The hotel suited the kids and the adults alike, the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. We found the rooms to be very clean and quiet.
We ate at the restaurant for convenience and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The price too was very good for London.
Overall a great experience, next time we're in London as a family we'll be staying here.

Room Tip: We asked for adjoining rooms, but other than that our rooms on the 3rd floor were just perfect.

I don't expect a great deal from a Premier Inn, budget hotels, cheap and cheerful. This one exceeded expectations. Exceptionally clean, well priced, very helpful staff, good food in the restaurant. Have paid more for a lot worse in London.

I was in Fleet Street for the reunion of an ever-diminishing group of journalists who worked for the Daily Express in the 70s and later. The Premier Inn was a handy place to stay. I've never encountered the self-service check-in so I was a bit bemused. But the major problem was the bed. With my bad back, I had expected to sink into a fluffy softness. Instead, it felt rock hard. I eventually got to sleep about 5 am. I don't think I'll stay there again.

We stayed here for a week in April. Extremely clean. Limited access to desk, so know your way around London! We walked several times from the hotel across the Millennium Bridge to the South Bank. We ate one time at the restaurant (3 star, nothing special but convenient when tired) and didn't eat breakfast there. Several places in the neighborhood had takeaway porridge which is all I wanted. And the rooms have an electric tea kettle for instant coffee or tea bags. Cups and spoons are provided. We were so seldom in our hotel room that we didn't mind the small size of the room. I would stay here again. Beds are comfortable. The hotel appeared to be all non-smoking which I prefer.

Room Tip: Rooms were very quiet. We didn't hear noise from outside (street we faced was quiet) nor from o...

Stayed here for 3 nights in early May 2014. Detailed review below but I wouldn't stay here again. There are better options in this price range and location.

Location: Very good location near fleet street and St. Paul's Cathedral. You can walk to most tourist attractions from here.

Room: As expected for central london, room was small but that wasn't an issue. Comfortable bed, functional washroom, very clean. Tiny TV, probably less than 22". No iron/board or safe. Could not get a good night's sleep for all 3 nights due to the poor air conditioning. It turns off after a few hours and does not come back on. Lowest temperature setting is 19 Celsius but room felt hot all night. Called service desk on second night and was told they dont have any fans and there wasnt anything they could do. Asked for a thin sheet to use instead of the duvet and it arrived promptly. Windows dont open either for safety. Changed room after 2 nights but same issue. So much for the good night sleep guarantee, sure didn't get a good night sleep. Must say that the reception staff changed our room without any questions, that was nice. They were very friendly.

Restaurant: Good food, slow service.

Overall it was disappointing since the most important criteria for me is a restful sleep and I couldn't get that there.
