Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN COVENT GARDEN A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Jamie's Italian Covent Garden, right in the heart of central London, is perfectly located for the West End's theatre-goers, weekend shoppers, tourists and locals alike. The restaurant is small but perfectly formed, and always buzzing with activity - make sure you stop by and soak up the atmosphere while tucking into some delicious food and a cocktail or two. They open up the outdoor space in the summer too, which is perfect for relaxed lunches and al fresco dinners when the weather's fine.

In Jamie's now and 45 mins after arriving no order taken. Only drinks / nibbles were when we went to find staff....and that after having to move table as despite booking a table for 11 4 months ago we had a table for 10. Apalling. White wine warm too. All this for my daughters 21st birthday celebration. So disappointed and so mad. Jamie Oliver may be happy
to live off profits from this but he needs to employ more staff. Waitress was very pleasant tho....If a
tad overworked. Oh...and smell of wee in toilets was overwhelming

Visited post theatre with the family, their food was OK. Distinct lack of prawns in my wives prawn linguine. I had soft shell crab, which was bland beyond belief. Fennel was tasteless, and how they made a red onion taste of nothing is amazing. Spinach / green stuff was a soggy turgid mess. Not very good at all. Go to Bills or Dishoom next door.

The waiting staff friendly and cheerful . The restaurant was in a lovely setting , and offered a cooling breeze on a very hot day . Partner ordered a pork dish but was a bit disappointed as it didn't come with anything ie veg or potatoes .It was however a very delicious tasty meal . The cost isn't bad either .

We visited here last week - it was really disappointing. First off we were totally ignored by the staff in hindsight we should have walked away then! But we were all hungry and thought we d give the place a chance. Eventually when we were seated the waitress took our order but when we went to order a side dish she informed us that once the order was gone to the kitchen she couldn't guarantee all the food would come together(doesn't make sence to me ). My little boy ordered from the kids menu he doesn't have a big appetite but omg it was 5 skinny fries and 2 fish gougons! The toilets had to be accessed across from the restaurant down steps into a Jamie's pub. They were disgusting. Don't waste your hard earned money there it's just not worth it.
