Meeting rooms wonderful natural light comfort and great layout. Staff just so attentive - attention to detail. Wonderful food. Nothing too much trouble. Just so good to find customer service at its best in town.
Bedrooms simply perfect too.

This is an achingly cool hotel right in the heart of the City of London, mid-way between Liverpool Street and Moorgate tube stations. It is brand new, to the point where the towels still leave those little bits of fluff behind after you have finished drying yourself. We didn’t use the restaurant or many of the facilities away from the lobby bar, but that was very welcoming with fantastic service, great choice (including local London beers) and comfortable seating. Service when booking, checking in and out and every interaction with the hotel staff in between was outstanding with nothing too much trouble. It feels like the staff feel privileged to work here. The room itself was extremely well thought out, with the special touches that mark out an exceptional hotel: things like a heated mirror that doesn’t steam up, and fresh lemon and lime for the mini-bar. The bed was very comfortable with high-quality linen. There is a lot of technology in the rooms, and it mostly worked, although we did struggle a little with the touch-pad by the bed for the lights. The main downside was traffic noise in our room which looked out onto South Place itself (a bus route), and we did suffer a disturbed night’s sleep as a result. We got a discounted corporate rate, which made it reasonable value. Without that, it is really quite pricey, but they’ve done their best to justify it and I think you would struggle to find a better hotel in the City itself. I think we will be back to stay when we next get the chance, and I’ll be back to visit the bars and restaurant before then.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and useful feedback. We're proud that our staff and our room detailing left such a positive impression. However, we do regret that your sleep was disturbed by the street noise. Please do not hesitate on your next visit to request a room facing Dominion or Wilson Street, or one of our upper level rooms.

Best wishes,

Sarah Buchanan

So just had one night here paid around 260 GBP - its very modern (electric blinds) all touch button round the room etc. Mini bar fantastic - bathroom excellent - reception helpful - my booking hadnt come through but they sorted - I will defo stay here again - right next to Liverpool street station - 3 mins walk - no noise, great bar area - feels good - nice TV in room - albeit I did struggle with the remote control. What else can I say - its expensive but not too expensive

Allways up to try new venues ... this time South place which is convinently located - if you do business though ...

Rooms very nice - spacious - modern design, loved the bathroom, huge walk in double shower, cool tub...

Eletric gimmicks all there - if a bit "overengineered though..." - electric blinds clever and working (for a change....)

Gym frist class - all equipment top of teh range .... free earphones ... Nice gesture ...

Rooftop restaurant 8/10 .. very nice staff - kids no problem at all ...terrace outside for drinks and smoke (this is if one needs that...)

The onlz area to improve would be speed of breakfast ... as it`s all a la carte .. which i like a lot really ... but then please oil your new machine a bit ... lots of people take ages to get your eggs done ... - so if in a hurry day starts unnecesarry frantic ...

Overall great experience -- would come again in a whiff ... - not cheap though .. but was is cheap in London ....

Room Tip: Up up and away ....

Great feedback and insight, ever so much appreciated.

We have been timing the speed of our breakfasts so that things do move a bit quicker for business travellers (and those with kids).

Hope to see you back, we're only 2 months old and are working hard toward an unequalled guest experience.

Best wishes,

Sarah

The concept of the Boutique city hotel is a rather tired affair so what a pleasure to experience the eclectic charm of South Place. I have now stayed on both a weekend and working week and the hotel offers excellent service, location and ambience. It is perhaps the last element that was so pleasantly surprising. Well-appointd rooms with original artwork and a bar area more commonly found in Ginza or the better establishments in Manhatten. Get there soon while there is still room at the bar.

We ate at the Angler restaurant on the top floor of the hotel. For a shared starter we went for the seafood platter which included deliciously fresh langoustines, oysters, clams and crab (although I believe the content of this starter can vary). The chef had recommended the Ray Wing for mains which I thought was superb, although my partner ordered the Fish Pie which was absolutely beautiful. Not being much of a drinker I was most happy for the sommelier to recommend a glass Australian white to accompany my meal, the service in general being welcoming and friendly rather than overly formal. I never had to look around around to get a member of staff's attention, they were there in an instant. My only regret about staying up in the bar downstairs till 3am (by which time it was still full - on weeknight) drinking tequila Old Fashioned cocktails was that I never really got to appreciate the room, which had a lovely modern, minimal décor and an incredibly soft bed I instantly fell asleep on. I didn't have time for breakfast the next day but will look forward to trying this next time. South Place is definitely primed to be a legendary spot it eat, drink and kick back.

Room Tip: I only stayed in the one room but did get rather confused with the key pass for the door. When you s...

I chose to stay at South Place Hotel during the craziness of London Fashion Week [ 14th - 16th September 2012] . Safe to say, the hotel passed with flying colours.

Having frequented London since a young age, I have seen countless Hotels, Restaurants and Bars come and go. With South Place you are welcomed to a new trend-setting and chic leader.

Stunning staff with impeccable standards of service - all happy to go the extra mile. One can't help but feel refreshed before take-off!

Luxurious Rooms containing signature art pieces that surpass even the highest expectations in size and comfort - with the latest technology including iPod dock and Bang and Olufsen Television + Communication. Super fast WiFi. Ticking all the boxes.

Relax with afternoon drinks in the exclusive secret garden, before exquisite dinner in the roof terrace restaurant - and with a late night bar featuring the well-heeled of London - it is clear South Place is here to stay.

An amazing achievement in hip design, style and timeless class!

I look forward to making South Place my new second home in London. Ideal for Business, Leisure, Family and Romantic stays.
