If you're staying in London then this is THE place to stay! From the second we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. A big mention for Stefano who was fabulous! He was very professional and went out of his way to make our anniversary celebrations very special. From the upgrade we received at check in, to the delicious refreshing drink we were offered after a very hot tube ride and confirming our table reservation, nothing was too much trouble. We'll be routing for Italy today in the big match!

The room was superb, the bath was huge, the bed was the most comfy I have ever slept in and a big thumbs up for the blackout blind which was a real bonus.

We ate at the Angler Restaurant. The food was simply out of this world, we had the taster menu and every dish tantalised our taste buds. The restaurant team were great, very attentive without being intrusive and our personalised message that came with our dessert was a lovely surprise. The roof terrace is gorgeous, you would never guess you are in the heart of the city. I can recommend the House Cocktail (Hic!)

Obviously we went down to the main bar and watched the big game, the atmosphere was great, I can see why all the London workers come here for some R&R after a long day!

When we got back to our room that evening, there was another anniversary surprise of two chocolate brownies and fresh fruit. The best brownie we have ever tasted!

We ate breakfast in the South Place Bar and Grill. Again the food was delicious and the staff were excellent.

I really can't say much more only that we will definitely be returning in future and a big thank you to everyone who made our day so special.

Having stayed in hundreds of hotels on business across Europe, I am pleased to say that this is without doubt the best UK hotel I have stayed in.

My wife and I stayed in early June for a "Lastminute" weekend. This is a stylish, high-end hotel in the City, very close to the trendy bars & restaurants of Shoreditch.

The first thing that impresses is the service; nothing seems too much trouble, the staff are attentive and obviously well trained. Our room needed a minor change from a twin to a king, so we occupied ourselves with a cocktail in the main bar. Despite the fact this is a hotel bar, there were a lot of walk-in customers enjoying the DJ, stylish decor and cocktail menu. Given more time, we would have enjoyed spending longer there.

On the journey to our room, we were shown around the hotel by a porter, before being given the full tour of the features (well-stocked bar, mood lighting, entertainment system, bathroom) of our room. It is a sanctuary in which you could (and we did) spend hours relaxing in the morning, reading the complimentary newspaper and listing to Spotify linked via Bluetooth to the large Bang & Olufsen TV/Speaker system - which also pipes into the beautiful bathroom.

The bathroom itself is superb - fast fill double-size bath, both rainfall & hand-held showers and lovely high-quality toiletries.

We did not eat breakfast, preferring to save ourselves for Brunch in South Place 3 - the uber-chic restaurant offering an excellent 2 or 3 course lunch menu and unlimited Prosecco or Bloody Marys for a small additional charge.

Cannot say enough about South Place - we will certainly be back later in the year.

Had a great stay here. The hotel belongs to the D & D Group, formerly Conran Restaurants. Interiors are Conran designed - contemporary and stylish with some great pieces of modern artwork dotted around both bedrooms and communal spaces. My room was spacious and chic with a big comfy bed, gorgeous linens, and a 40" Bang and Olufsen TV. Blinds and lighting are all touch pad operated but not drive you mad techie. Floor to ceiling windows mean tons of light. The marble bathrooms are beautifully done out and I adored the very generous array of Heeley 'St Clements' products. The reception team were friendly and helpful and everything worked just as it should. The location is good with Moorgate tube less than a 5 minute walk away. The hotel offers various drinking/eating areas, a casual ground floor diner and bar where breakfast is served, a guests/members only club/library style room and 'secret garden' bar, and the wonderful 7th floor Michelin starred restaurant 'Angler'. Food was fantastic here, it is unmissable. Service was top notch too, plus it is a really nice glossy space with a great bar and rooftop terrace attached. Recommended.

I was very pleased to read you had such a great time when you stayed here. Art and design is really important to us and we are really proud of our collaboration with both Conran and the local artists who produced the artworks for the hotel.

We hope to welcome you back to the hotel again soon.

Recently spent 3 nights at the South Place and can't wait to go back!! Very convenient for Moorgate tube station - only 2 mins walk. The staff are super friendly and made us feel really welcome. We stayed in a king room which was huge and the bathrooms are just stunning. One of the best bits was the roof terrace. All the bars have a buzz about them and we sampled all three on our first night!! Didn't have breakfast but did have a meal in the downstairs brasserie, the food was delicious.

We spent a wonderful week end in South Place Hotel, near Liverpool Street.
We found very high level services, great location, excellent cleaning.
In reception we met Ms. Alessandra Licheri, she was very nice, very affable and corteous. She showed us the Hotel and she assisted me and my mother in many kindly ways.
We suggest this Hotel for a very comfortable stay near the center of London.
We sure come back to London and we sure come to South Place Hotel, hoping to find Ms. Alessandra again.

I recently stayed at the South Place Hotel for 9 nights when I was in London on business. I found the room, meals, and staff to be excellent and look forward to returning next month when I am back in the London office. The bathroom was incredible and the blackout shade was a great amenity in the room as well. I also really liked the fitness center and found the treadmills to be excellent quality. My room rate included breakfast, which I took every morning in the restaurant and was never disappointed.

A special thank you to the staff, who were amazing. Especially the night manager Zeb, who was so gracious and helpful from arrival through departure. I can't wait to return!

We stayed two nights in a King room over the weekend. The area was very busy when we arrived on Friday, but on Saturday pretty dead - this was fine, we just wanted a place to sleep! It's very close to the tube so easy to get out and about.

The room was lovely - huge by London standards, high ceiling, great big floor to ceiling window, and a good size of bathroom with a massive bath and lots of very swish lemony toiletries. The bed was one of the most comfy I've slept in, big fluffy pillows and a soft duvet. The mini bar was a thing to behold with glasses for every kind of drink you could imagine, half-size bottles of Sipsmith gin and vodka and a lemon and lime to top it off - though only a butter knife to cut with?! The room has the standard ipod dock etc, and a good choice of "playlists" available to get you in the mood for the evening.

We had breakfast both days, which was pretty expensive and the scrambled eggs were very under-done, but my hangover meant I wasn't in the mood to debate... Coffee good and strong! We would love to come again, and have time to visit the secret garden bar or the games room.

Only two downsides; the scented aircon in the corridors was a bit overpowering, and the bathroom taps were *so* overdesigned that it's not possible to turn them with wet hands, I had to grab a flannel to be able to turn it off... Otherwise, a perfect place for a swish London weekend.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked a side street so was very quiet, no idea about others but would be happy to have...
