So asked for a tall glass for my vodka diet coke and got served a PINT glass with diet pepsi!

The barmaid was sullen and unhelpful when i explained i meant a highball of either 10 or 12 oz and not a 20oz pint glass.

When i then went on to explain that when i asked for diet coke she had a legal obligation to ask if diet pepsi was okay she snarled.

During a business meeting about 20 mins later due to talking to much I had a coughing fit and was obviously in distress and when i approached the bar red eyed and sputtering the barmaid told me "im serving" and carried on pouting a pint with two hands!!

Fortunately a local at the bar intervened and i got the water.

Maybe the oldest pub in London and evidently you are still working on ancient custimer service.

Wont be back and will certainly not recommend.

Thank Darthgill

We'd been to British museum and needed a pre theatre drink and snack. Perfect find. Great location. Great service. Straightforward but well done food and good value for money. The pub is quirky and I would definitely go back if I am in the area

I was staying over in town and The White Hart was across the street and recommended to me as a good place to have a friendly evening with good food. Great bar staff with friendly service. Good choice of ales and the menu had plenty of choices for all. Plenty of seating and no need to feel you are in someone else’s local as very easy to find a corner and relax. Great with for a ‘table for one’ or with friends. Plan to return whenever staying in the same area
