I regularly walk by this 'pub', but it was only a few days ago that I first walked in. It's different. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and was encouraged to take a seat - my pint would be brought to me. I noted a number of the patrons were at play – with board games, table tennis and other distractions on offer. The menu lists the expected pub fare at a reasonable price for central London. I liked that it wasn’t crowded and that service was quick, friendly and welcoming. I also felt it's a step back in time. The traditional features and lack of television added to my rest. I might not pass by when I next go down Fleet Street.
