“A Great Little Find”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We were on our way to Tate Modern but wanted a swift drink & bite to eat before hand.
Staying north of the Millennium bridge we wanted to be close to the bridge but tourist-free (sorry). We stumbled across The Centre Page and it was a delight.
The menu is standard pub food but on the reverse (as well as there being more food choices) are all these little fun facts & snippets of info. Cockney Rhyming slang is very amusing...
Staff were friendly, food was nice, good value, very quiet, cosey, steeped in history.
Just what we wanted, thank you.

“Breakfast”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

We had a very good value full english breakfast here. As we were staying in the City at the weekend, it was the first place we came across that was open, a real life saver that set us up for the rest of the day.

“Poor experience”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

Two of us went for Sunday lunch. What a disappointment! Although the place was not packed, service was very slow. It took a long time for the order to be taken. One hot meal arrived & was entirely consumed before the 2nd hot meal was served. Another long wait after the second hot meal was consumed before a dessert order was taken. Another loooong wait until ONE dessert order was delivered. The first dessert was consumed, another loong wait, but the second dessert was never delivered. Not complicated food, no fancy dessert (ice cream!) - just terrible kitchen coordination and service. The food was mediocre. I will not return, nor can I recommend it to others.

“Don't Go”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

If you want to pop your head in the door and have a look around do, but then leave.
This 'heritage pub could be charming but its all wrong and I speak as a born and bred Londoner.
The food was very mediocre and the service lamentable. I had to get up and find a waitress for every thing from the order to the bill. And this was in a very empty pub.
If you want to sit in a pub with wailing music and a large screen telly its for you but it certainly isn't a 'Dickens' like characterful pub experience.
This place needs much love and attention to make it into something special.

“"famous fish&chips"... not sure what for!”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

the quote in the title is according to a sign outside this pub.

bullet points:

- if this piece of fish wasn't out of a packet, i would be very surprised

- it was extremely greasy

- the chips were mediocre, and not all fully cooked
