We were in Camden this week for the markets and decided to take a canal trip when we passed a sign advertising this tour. The price was very reasonable (£11.50 per adult) and the tour was not busy at all. We only had about eight people on the boat in total. Other tours passed us that were much busier, but ours felt quaint and we had more time to talk, look around and ask questions.
The tour guide, Grace (?), was very friendly. She was also the "locksmith", as I called it -- the person who jumped on and off the boat to open and close the lock. She knew a lot of the local history and was very good at not only mentioning things, but making sure we actually saw them! It was just enough information without being boring or tedious.
The whole trip last 90 minutes and went to Little Venice and back. It was very relaxing and let us see different parts of the city, including parts of the London Zoo, Regent's Park and some of the posh residences and gardens that line the canal.
I recommend a trip on the Jenny Wren for anyone who fancies getting out of the bustle of Camden Markets. I can't fault them -- the price, staff and entire experience were fabulous.
