Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to Southwark tube station and close to the South Bank. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was the lack of hand towels. There were 2 bath towels provided but they were quite thin. We did not eat at the hotel, there was a pub across the road, The William and Henry, and we had a lovely meal in there. We normally stay at Premier Inns in London but after checking out the reviews on the Ibis we decided to try it and we were not disappointed.

I stayed here for one night when in London with my father when attending a cricket test match at Lords. The location is excellent; a short walk from the Southbank, and with easier access to transport networks via Southwark tube station (Jubilee line) or Waterloo (overground).

The check in process was efficient, but instead of being allocated a twin room as requested, we had been allocated a double room with an additional bed. The receptionist suggested that this was an upgrade, but it's difficult to see how; the presence of an additional bed made it difficult to move around the room.

The room itself reminded me of a student halls of residence; cheap plywood fittings, admittedly including a desk, laminate flooring, a small TV fixed in the corner of the room, and a very basic, moulded plastic en-suite shower pod. The room was clean, and the communal areas well maintained.

I filled in an online feedback form emailed to me by the hotel. I made the point that although my stay had been OK, I felt that the price of the room was high for what was on offer; I received a pithy automated reply that the price was a simple issue of supply and demand. This is true - I won't again make the mistake of not booking a preferred hotel before its supply expires and will in future endeavour to suppress demand for this hotel.

Absolutely no frills to this hotel, but it is clean, comfortable and better located than you first expect, just a couple of blocks from the embankment walk along the Thames. Easy Walk to the Millenium Bridge and St.Paul's. Tube locations very convenient. I went out at night by myself and felt comfortable returning after 10. One warning: skip the a English breakfast. Really not well done. Lots of alternatives in the area, including at least three Starbucks.

Stayed overnight for business and was very impressed with price , facilities and location. Right next to Southwark tube and easy walk to The Cut and Southbank. Easy , efficient check in and the room was a good size with comfortable bed . Bathroom was no frills - plastic and efficient rather than luxurious but a good size shower.

Very reasonable bar prices , a nice feel and atmosphere to the area and breakfast in the morning was better than many .

Would very happily stay again

This hotel was in a good location, just a short walk to the London Eye. The room was small, which I now understand is typical in Europe. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious: eggs, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, yogurt, cereal, and much more. The service was not great. I asked for a room with a view and was told this was impossible, instead my view consisted of air-conditioning units from the building near by. No one in the lobby could give information about the surrounding area. The bed was okay. I would stay at this hotel again. All in all the stay was okay.

New hotel, decent sized rooms and large comfortable bed. Convenient for the South Bank and central London. Staff courteous and friendly. Breakfast was an additional option which we paid for and the quality was reasonable but limited. Well done Premier Inn
