“Lovely London break”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Just got back yesterday from a nice mini break in London. We stayed in blackfriars in the ibis hotel
We were near to the Thames and the London eye , and the hotel is quite central for all the tourist attractions.
What a lovely surprise with this hotel . We wasn't sure what standards to expect when we got there , but I must add it was a really nice hotel .
Staff were so helpful and pleasant when we arrived . Our room was quite small , as lots of hotel rooms are . But it had everything we needed and It was so spotlessly clean . And the breakfast in the mornings was superb, I work in the catering industry , and the food cooked each morning was of a high quality and lovely and hot . We also had a gorgeous steak from there one evening . All in all the hotel was such good value for money

Super close to the tube station
After a long day walking round London the last thing you want is a treck from your last tube station when your feet are about to fall off.

Friendly staff, clean and nice rooms.

Evening meal there was so yum!

Good price too for London, we got it for £100 between two so only £50 each!
And for a nice hotel in london that is cheap.

Very good location, just few minutes walk from the Southwark tube. Many choices of food surround the hotel.

We stay there for three nights and the rooms were clean & tidy, beds were comfortable, no complaint. However, the wi-fi connection was a bit poor, sometimes it couldn't connect in the room.

Staffs were polite and helpful, but the check-in was a bit slow. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

But overall, the hotel is good value and will recommend to others.

I have stayed at the Ibis Blackfriars hotel 3 times, and have always had a good experience. Its well located for my work, but also for exploring south & central London. Good service, friendly staff, good internet. Only problem is that it can get very crowded at breakfast time.

Breakfast is supposed to be ( according to their paperwork) was supposed to be from 4:00am.
We got down about 5am to find the area closed.
Was told paperwork incorrect.
Young lady @ desk helped us out.

I booked this hotel for my sister's family stay in London when they came to visit me in May.

The room is small but has every comfort and amenity, and considering we are in London that was a good size for a room.
The bed was very comfy, the TV had a lot of italian channels and the baby cot arrived in the room as soon as we did the check-in.
My sister was really happy with the buffet breakfast, and the last day I went there to have it with them and it was surprisingly abundant.
We really liked the hotel, the staff was really kind and willing to help, the free wi-fi worked quite well and the position was perfect for us.
It will be our choice for when the family will come to visit.

Thank you very much for everything!! :)
