This was our first time at a Novotel and were very impressed. We had a nice quiet room at the back of the building. Liked the novelty of the frosted / clear bathroom window. The pool and sauna area was a good bonus - really clean, quiet and spacious. Close to both Southwark and Blackfriars stations so getting around was easy. Would stay again if the price was right.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of the hotel and was lovely and quiet

Great hotel. Everything is very new, clean and in good condition. Decent size hotel rooms with unusual glass wall from the bedroom to the bathroom. Fortunately they are obscured at the touch of a button!
Well located, close to southwark bridge, so the southbank is only a short walk away. Equally, the tube and rail stations are close by too.
Good selection at breakfast, fruit, pastries, cooked, pancakes, cereral etc
Only disappointing thing was, after a night on the town, we really fancied some chips from the hotel bar, but the only thing available was red thai curry or a panini.

I´ve read a lot of reviews of this hotel, beside from recommandations from others.

For ups, it had a nice pool, clean rooms, and a funny little service that was ipods for the kids at the breakfast tables. For us, two adults & two kids 6/8, that was it.
Front desk was handling matters ok, nothing more, nothing less...

The Downers started already at check in. Without even telling you, they "pre-authorize" 100£ that isn´t available back on your account before " a couple of days" after check out.
Our room was facing the blackfriars Rd, and not beeing very sensitive to noice and sound pollution, this caused two days of bad sleep for three of us. In comparison to other hotels I´ve stayed at close to main roads, this was remarkable noisy.
Beeing our first trip to London, location was a key factor. This beeing a fantastic location, with walking distance to all the main attractions, is a rather exaggregated statement. Selling itself as a family friendly hotel, this is far from walking distance a lot of attractions. And if beeing located near a tube station qualifies as "Fantastic location", i would like to see a hotel in central london with a "bad location".
And last. 16 £ for breakfast. come on guys. Egg, beans and bacon. It isn´t rocket science, and should be a no-brainer, but that was a pure rip off. Send your staff to a baconfrying class or something.
Go eat your breakfast elsewhere.

Or even better:
Stay elsewhere...

Room Tip: Our rooms was facing the blackfriars Rd, and was very noisy.. Maybe rooms facing other directions ar...

Thank you very much for your feedback following your stay with us. I am very disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept my sincere apologies.

I can understand that you would expect to have a relaxing and quite sleep. Our front desk team will do their utmost should any guest request a quieter room away from the main road . Our windows are triple glazed, however depending on the weekday and the location of the bedroom there can still be some noise from the main road.

I am sorry to hear our location was not the best for your stay. Our hotel is conveniently located for a number of main attractions in London and the Jubilee Line provides easy access to the rest of London.

I am happy to see that you liked our leisure centre and that the kids enjoyed our iPads at the restaurant.

We hope we will be able to welcome you back for your next visit to London.

Kind regards

Hotel was really good, southwark station 5 min walk. It is a little out of the way for most attractions but with the tube so close it doesn't really matter. Good restaurants around the corner - lots to chose from. Would stay here again.

I have not been in but I can smell the spa when I walk by. Great to see a great looking budget hotel on the main road. Very very central location. I wanted to join the gym after staying there one night, not allowed, it's guests only. Quite Right.
Love Bankside Love London. Welcome.

Stayed at the Novotel London Blackfriars with my almost 9 year old daughter for 3 days. The room was very modern and clean a bit smallish but OK for 2 persons. The hotel is in walking distance for most of the big attractions in London and only 2-300 meters from Southwark tube station which is on the Jubilee line and you can get anywhere in London in a short time (remember to buy a Oystercard)

The swimming pool and saunas in the basement is a big hit travelling with children and the restaurant had some good dishes also for kids. Remember to visit Byron Hamburgs around the corner at 45 The Cut, London SE1 8LF which serves excellent burgers and fries.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the upper level and away from Blackfriars Road which on working days are pretty...
