Owner description: The View from The Shard is the visitor attraction at the top of The Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe and London's newest landmark. At almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, it offers visitors spectacular 360 degree views over the UK's capital for up to 40 miles.

“Great views but expensive for a family.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We had a clear day and the views were wonderful . Never seen all of London from one point before . I know people who went on a cloudy day and couldn't see a thing - so we were blessed. We had clear blue skies and views for 30 miles in all directions. Really good. Allow an hour. Negatives - there is a lift change and the operatives were not very patient with my disabled father who walks very slowly. Also at £25 - its totally overpriced - but you are in London.

“Worth it!”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

It is expensive but I think worth it. Myself, my twin sister and mum booked entrance at 11am Saturday morning as part of our 40th birthday celebrations / weekend in London. Entry was quick and friendly and when up there the view is amazing. We stayed up there about 40 mins and had a glass of champagne (£10 a glass so expensive but was a special occasion).

Having done the London Eye as well on previous visit, I much prefer the Shard - it was raining and we could still see for miles.

“Lovely view”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We had a lovely day out with a trip up the Shard and a meal at Marco Pierre White's Steak and Ale House bought for us as a gift.

I beleive it's about £25.00 per adult to go up to the viewing level and in my opinion it's worth it.

The view is simply stunning, but I do think we will need to go back in the winter to see London at night.

You can buy a glass of bubbly while up there but i wouldn't bother and would go down to one of the bars on level 33 and get a drink at either of the excellent bars.

“Spectacular View but not enough Seats”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We visited the Shard with two 82 year olds, one of whom walks with a stick and a 32 week (and weak), pregnant lady. There is a lot of walking, and a lot of standing involved. The lifts didn't really take enough people at a time and you have to walk from one lift to the next as it goes up in increments. Then you have to walk a bit more and go up in another lift (or you can walk up) the next few levels to the top which is outside, although you don't really notice this at first.
There were a few seats inside the main entrance and then, after that, there was nowhere for the elderly, pregnant or infirm to rest. This made it really difficult for my dad, who really needed to sit down. My sister-in-law, who is expecting twins, sat down on the floor for a while, but my parents could not. They really need to put in some seating for these people to rest.

“Fabulous views”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We had booked online and there were no delays when we arrived. The view is amazing. The timed tickets ensure that you have easy access to all the viewpoints. Excellent.
If you want to go in to one of the bars or restaurants after visiting "The View" be warned that they will not allow you in if you are wearing trainers/deck shoes.
