came here to meet a female friend for something to eat and drink. my friend went to the toilets 7.30pm on a tuesday and she said that it was horrific... the worst toilets she has ever ever seen. she is a very relaxed person normally and worked in various pubs and has drunk in many many establishments in her time, so for her to say that it must be really bad. doors could not be shut. toilet seats missing. blocked toilets. no paper. wet floors throughout. she said she was disgusted.
I went a bit later and found blocked and overflowing toilets. broken soap dispensers, wet floors and a plunger near the door... which made me laugh.
drinks were fine.. I had a guiness which was really good.. although served in a plastic beaker (was drinking at a table indoors).
food.. we had a all day breakfast and a steak with salad. was told there was no salad according to the till but when they checked the kitchen there was. food came in approx 20mins which was fine. the food was good except that beans were missing from the breakfast. when queried about the beans a helpful member of staff went to the kitchen and was told that they had ran out of beans midday and was offered peas instead.., but why wasnt told when ordering the food? but the food was good for the price.
having worked in the pub game myself, this pub could be brilliant, just silly things letting it down.

Stayed just around the corner one Tuesday night, and I assume this must be student night as two pints was less than a fiver, which I imagine is rare in London! It was quite a busy night as there was also some football on, but got a table and enjoyed a few drinks watching the match. Service was fine, plenty of staff on. Hard to fault for what we required.

Ate here on Friday afternoon - it was starting to fill up with a big crowd, but service was good, and I enjoyed the fish & chips. It's a Wetherspoons, they get busy on a Friday and Saturday night so would never choose that time to eat there. We sat outside, it was very pleasant by the river, lovely glass of wine and good beer, brilliant.

I went to the Rocket for the Sunday roast on 22nd June. I sat at the front overlooking the Thames and loved watching the river and also the people passing by. However the food was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the chicken and it was dry and tasteless. It was accompanied by, I think ,tinned peas and carrots. However the roast potatoes were at least edible and the gravy was OK. I have eaten here before and the food was so much better so I don't know if I went on a 'bad' day or whether it has generally deteriorated. Saving grace it's relatively cheap and comes with a drink. However in future I'll do without the poor food and just order the drink.
