The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, and good at their job. The room was great, the breakfast very substantial. They offer fans on a hot day. Easy to get to the tube, pizza hut delivery near by, sainsbury's local and you see local people everywhere, it has a community feel. Great park opposite the hotel, for picnics, sport etc, great for kids.
A lounge area to hang in if your are with a bigger group and cant fit in your room!

Stayed here on the 13th June. Difficult to find at first as it's tucked away in a side street and the entrance could be cleaned up a bit. Reception staff were lovely and placed us on the third floor. The room was very clean, comfortable and value for money. The only thing is the heat which meant the window remained open constantly. The corridors were like walking into a sauna and was quite uncomfortable even for the short walk to the lift. What made up for this was that when we went out we returned to a fan placed in our room. We thought this was great as so many places fail to make any attempt to make up for a problem. They clearly are aware of the heat issue but at least they were kind enough to do what they could and it actually helped quite a bit. Breakfast was simple but nice. Coffee was excellent. All in all we were pleased with our stay.

Given how close this hotel is to central London, it is great value (providing you book early enough). Rooms are small but clean and tidy. The bar downstairs is open 24hrs and the prices aren't any more than the local pubs.

With no aircon though, I can imagine the rooms can get a little warm in the summer and even in mid-june it was a bit uncomfortable at night.

Still, for the price it would be churlish to complain and I would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Make sure you search for 'accessible rooms' if you want a twin rather than a double.

I stayed in this Travelodge for two nights. Whilst a little off the beaten path there is a tube station located close by. The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard and the bedrooms are clean and functional with a good bed and a small but functional shower/bathroom. My bedroom overlooked the main road and hence there was a lot of noise coming from cars and passersby. Closing the triple glazed windows negated the noise completely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a bar cafe and meals can be purchased throughout the day. I had a nice evening meal but was left disappointed by the blandness of the cooked breakfast.
Nearby you can find a bike hire station and on Bethnal Green Road there are a multitude of shops in what is a multicultural area. All the standard takeaway restaurants as well as Tescos, Sainsburys and Boots can be found on this road. There are a number of nearby parks should you feel like a stroll.

Room Tip: If possible during warm weather seek a room not overlooking the main road -Cambridge Road West otherwise you will need to open the windows as there is no air conditioning and then noise may be an issue.
