“What a Find!”

We recently discovered this wonderful venue, complete with restaurant - what more could you ask for? The theatre is a gem, really intimate in size and ideal for the hilarious 'Forbidden Planet'. (I don't know when we've laughed so much.)
There was a varied choice in the restaurant, a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff were really friendly, as they were in the theatre.
The Menier is only a short walk from the Underground Station so we will definitely be visiting again.

“super venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

Booked the meal deal for our first visit here, to see Forbidden Broadway. The menu is limited, although you know the choices when you book so if it doesn't suit then simply book your theatre tickets and choose the normal restaurant menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere, and it was a great advantage to only have to walk a few yards to the auditorium - no rushing through then streets at breakneck speed! Lovely setting and great show too, well worth the visit.

“5* venue, 5* show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

This is such a quirky venue - with all the history of the building clearly visible and rustic style continuing through each room. The restaurant is a lovely space with friendly staff and a good choice of food on the menu. The theatre is a studio space which conveniently transforms depending on the show.
We saw "Forbidden Broadway". It was an absolute hoot. A must see for any theatre goer/enthusiast. Bring tissues as you will be crying with laughter!

“Perfect Saturday afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

Got a meal deal for Forbidden Broadway. Brasserie was nice and so was the food. Not a big choice but enough. Good value for the money and as a light lunch, more than enough. The show itself was excellent and the parodies of individual "stars" very entertaining. A good way to spend the afternoon with friends.

“What a hidden gem!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

Went to see Forbidden Broadway for a birthday treat. I'd heard of the musical before, but never the theatre.
There is a small restaurant directly above the theatre so they do offer pre-theatre dinners and special offers that are worth checking.
The food upstairs is great and service is excellent. The theatre is a short walk down some stairs into a small, but not claustrophobic auditorium. Stage is larger than you'd expect and sound and lighting is perfect for a venue this size. Being so close to the stage performance really helps you get into the production. Seats are cushioned bench style, with numbered rear and they are comfortable. There is a small bar and toilets just outside the auditorium.
