Busy cafe like feel with flavoursome food and extremely cheap. Had a couple of Dosas, the lentil doughnuts, chicken tikka and the spicy prawns, that really were! I'm not a wimp when it comes to spicy food but if Korma is more your thing order carefully!
£25 all in with service, can't go wrong

Fabulous Chicken Bhuna! Just fantastic flavours.
Popadums came with half filled ramekin of delicious sauce, just not enough.
And Dosas are great, could do with more sauces there too :).
And lovely pints of Cobra according to my other half. Overall great, would come back ;).

Food was cold, did not taste good, staff was not helpful. A lot better restaurants near by.
Came in and stood for service for sometime it was not busy so cannot understand why I was completely ignored. Got my food to go, it was cold, it tasted horrible, was bland and smelled bad. Was very disappointed and would never recommend anyone to go there as there are so many other indian restauranta nearby.

It has more the chatacter of an Indian version of a working men's caff than a restaurant. But this matters not given the quality and exceptional value of the essentially South Indian food on offer here.

Since it's South Indian there is, as oboe would expect, a large vegetarian section. But meat is available too, including my personal favourite, the mutton dosa, a steal at only £4.95 in a tray complete with a selection of colourful chutneys.

There's even beer available by the pint, or bottled, unlike son either silly Indian establishments I could mention, for example the once-iconic, now merely infamous Khans of Westbourne Grove, who have bannd alcohol presumably on narrow-minded religious grounds.

My only reservation about this place is service can be a bit on the slow side. But the food is well worth the wait.

Had the mutton masala thosai. Lamb was soft and tasty, portions were generous. It's not posh, but i liked it! They have hand-washing facilities (with soap) if you're inclined to eat it with your hands.
