Good italian basics in a friendly atmosphere. The parma ham and rocket pizza was well presented with a light base and plenty of good quality topping. The tiramisu dessert was light and tasty. Service was swift but welcoming and not pushy. A relaxed alternative to the busy trendier places immediately around Borough Street market.

A great end to a family day out in London. We were all really hungry and the food came quickly and was delicious. The staff were brilliant too. Thanks!

We planned to go to the Peruvian place round the corner for a bit of variety one Tuesday evening at 21.40 hours, but they had stopped serving. So, forced to 're-review our options, we ended up at Alma's. I have to say that it DoD not disappoint. We ordered from the chef's specials, the risotto and the seafood spaghetti and it was very delicious all round, washed down with a bottle of the house white. Furthermore, the waiters and staff were very friendly and prepared to engage in conversation. Thoroughly recommend this establishment.

We came upon Alma's by accident as we got off the Open-topped bus at London Bridge.
What a find, what a place!!
The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived and ordered quickly, thankfully; within 20 minutes it was bursting at the seams but the staff were excellent and worked very effectively to ensure waiting times were kept to a minimum.
The menu is varied and interesting, we both had pizza which was huge, very well presented and delicious. I chose the home-made tirimisu for desert and can honestly say it is the best I have tasted since we visited Silvio'S hotel on the shore of Lake Maggiore, truly wonderful.
I would recommend this Italian to anyone visiting London, it's well worth the trouble of seeking it out.

Ate at Alma's one evening last week as I was changing trains at London Bridge and needed to stop for dinner. Glad I spotted this as the food and service were excellent. Will be coming back with my wife for a nice Italian next time we're in town for the evening.
