“Better off at a different hotel”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

I don't really write reviews for hotels but this hotel is inhabitable and disappointing. The rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website. The en suite double room that I was staying in was not worth the price that I paid for. They lied to me about the original price of the room and made me think that I was getting a very good discount and one of the workers there were very rude/aggressive because we left 10 mins late plus the worker was not very welcoming. I would never go back and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel really did remind me of a hostel and had to cross the road to get breakfast from another hotel in the morning.
it felt like a freezer in the room but the bathroom was very warm.

We needed somewhere to crash after a concert at the Empire, SHEPHERDS BUSH. This place was absolutely perfect, small rooms but we needed somewhere to sleep. The room was spotless, the cleanliness outstanding and breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable

Room Tip: Room 311 was probably one of the larger rooms

I would have given a higher rating had it not been for a few annoying problems which could have been avoided with only a little extra effort from the owner.
Dining area - very clean and breakfast cooked to order but sausages were supermarket "value" quality and quantity not great (1 fried egg, 1 sausage, 1 very small rasher of bacon, 1 plum tomato and a tablespoonful of baked beans). There are other options which I did not try. Tea/coffee, orange juice and cereals were self service from a small area next to the dining room where only 2 people could serve themselves at one time. The cornflakes were also cheap quality.
Bedroom - bed comfortable and warm enough.Remote control not the original one for the TV so limited options (couldn't use text). Bathroom area very cramped - anyone a bit overweight would have difficulty squeezing between wash basin, shower and toilet. No plug in wash basin. Lavatory seat hinge broken on one side. Good supply of towels.
The spring on the front door to the building causes the door to shut with a loud bang every time it is used. There are 5 or 6 steps up to the front door each with a rise of about 10 inches so not ideal for someone with mobility problems.
Payments by credit card are subject to a 3% surcharge and luggage storage is charged at a minimum of £5.

Now I stay at hotels regularly and have been to some dives in my time but this was just ridiculous. It stated it was en suite but I was shown my landing shower room, as a lone female that's just not what I wanted. On top of this I was shown a cold tiny room. I was awake all night as what I can only describe as the dregs of society piled into the 'hotel' it should be called a hostel and a bad one at that. I didn't sleep a wink and literally flew out of the door when morning came! I would like to save anyone any disappointment I'm not usually one to write reviews but this is definitely a warning for all.

Rather than a hotel, this is a collection of houses whose rooms have been converted. It means you check in at a house down the road, then go back to whichever property your room is located in. That's a bit odd, perhaps, but the rest of the arrangement is standard or good.

We had two rooms: a double and a family room for three.

Negatives: The rooms feel a bit small: certainly there was not enough room in the the double room bathroom to do much other than squeeze in for the loo and shuffle to the shower. All these facilities worked very well, though. It sounds a bit daft to criticise the place for being too hot, but with radiators on full blast in the hallways, it was ... easy to regulate our own room temperature though.

Positives: The hotel is in a good location - right next to Westfield Shopping Centre, on Shepherd's Bush Green and close to the tube station, so getting around is really easy.

Breakfast is included, and this was good - free wifi was also a good bonus and much-used by all our party.

The staff were friendly and helpful and you felt nothing would be too much trouble.

Overall we felt this was a good hotel for those on a budget. If you're happy to stay on the fringe of London, happy to take a tube or bus into town (let's face it, wherever you stay you'll need to do this some time) then you'll be pleased with this place: it's good value and a good deal cheaper than plumping for one of the chains in more central locations. Give it a go.
