City Harvest is the kind of every day Café I always hope to find.

Accommodating, independent, tasty and cheap.

They do great all day breakfasts, and other specials for less than a fiver (I’m particularly happy about the veggie option for 3.95). All with a side of hot, buttery pre-buttered toast like it should be.

But best of all they also do a proper mug of tea for less than a quid (£1) - a near messiah like revelation in London’s sinful corporate midst.

The deli options, fresh fruit and decent supply of desserts (pre-packed don’t push your luck) feature all your usual favourites and plenty extra to provide a bit of variety.
They also even had the ingenuity to stick a WiFi router up somewhere, so If you need it you can just simply ask for the password.
With bottles of actual Heinz ketchup and good honest HP set out on each table – it’s the kind of simple café that simply works.

Well worth a visit.
