“A wow of a coffee shop”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

As soon as you walk through the doors, you realize this is no ordinary coffee shop. The space may be one of the nicest cafe venues in London, but The Association also manages to retain a relaxed and comfortable vibe. This would be an ideal location to meet a work client you wanted to impress, without seeming over the top. I wanted to spend hours there. Not to mention the excellent coffee on offer as well as delectable food items. Disarmingly friendly and efficient service, which is sometimes a rarity in London. A short, 10 minute walk from Whitechapel Gallery too.

“Great Square Mile filter”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Really friendly staff who are happy to recommend and discuss coffee with you. It's nice that even in a busier environment they were willing to take the time out. Sat at the bar with my exceptional Kenyan coffee, food offerings looked great but had already eaten earlier so had to skip out, would recommend.

“Perfect Speciality Coffee in the City”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

Located in the Square Mile, The Association is one of the best specialty coffee shops in London. While it looks a little bit serious when you initially enter we genuinely found it to be one of the friendliest and most relaxed coffee houses that we visited; you could wile away time here.

Every aspect of the design, professional approach and most importantly the coffee being poured demonstrates attention to detail and quality. It's a place where you spot little things and catch yourself thinking how great that it is. The interior is spacious, beautifully designed and features a natural wooden beamed floor, bare brick walls, subdued lighting and beautifully simple and elegant furniture.

Coffee is the focus and The Association does expertly prepared espresso, filter and milk based coffee drinks. They stock a range of coffees from different roasters including local roasters Square mile and Workshop and they change what they serve regularly. Food is also delicious.
