We live round the corner but have a small child so opted for take away. Food was delicious - had one vegetarian and one tuna brick, lamb couscous and chicken shawarmah. Very friendly customer service. Would definitely eat from there again.

Spotted this little restaurant when driving past a couple of weeks ago. What caught my eye was the crisp white tablecloths with a huge red rose twinkling at me through the window. Decided to visit last Friday and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is warm and bright with a real Mediterranean flavour to the decor. We were exceptionally well looked after by our waiter throughout. They started by providing complimentary appetisers with a mound of bread while we perused the menu. Our starters, one with a fried egg and the other with Tuna were delicious and our grilled chicken mains were fresh, nicely seasoned and not greasy at all - sometimes a problem in Arab restaurants. The accompanying salad was fresh and tasty and the rice was enough for two. When it came to ordering pudding, they didnt have what we wanted but brought us a huge plate of baklava and two scoops of ice cream on the house! Unlike many North African restaurants, La Goulette serves a selection of wines. We'd go there again because of the pleasant service, quiet music and good clean food.

I went with 5 friends ( not from Tunisia ) to share with them some of the Tunisian culture. We had a really nice diner, we shared the starter ( Brick , ijja, sausages...) and then we had couscous and Tajines. Everything was delicious. The service also was nice and fast. We will certainly go back.

Tell them how spicy you like your food, Tunisian dishes can be very nicely spicy.

I ordered grilled baby chicken with rice and salad. It was lovely, well grilled with Tunisian spices. Complimentary appetisers were given, which also tasted great. Friendly service, a must visit place.

This is really a hidden gem, both food and wine are really really good, and they always treat you to complimentary appetizers. It's cheap, too, and if you have a taste card u you can have a lovely 3-course dinner AND a bottle of wine for less than 35 pounds for 2 people! Bargain! !

I just have 4 stars for the atmosphere because even though the decor is lovely, I've visited twice in the evening and it was just too bright inside, no dimmed lights nor tealights or anything to create a bit of ambience . Shame because it would really add to the atmosphere!
