“Great Reuben”
Review of Kiosk

Kiosk
Ranked #250 of 1,092 Coffee & Tea in London
Description: Opening straight onto the concourse at King’s Cross Station, metres from St Pancras International at the gateway to Europe and the North, Kiosk serves hugely generous, utterly unfussy, hand-carved hot roast meats – turkey, pork or salt-beef – stacked into delicious artisan breads, then beautifully packaged and offered with fine, rich Monmouth Coffee.

We stayed at GNH (review submitted) and had a drink in the bar and we were looking for a quick bite as dinner wasn't too far away, I had seen kiosk on the GNH web site and had a quick look to see the Reuben!

To those who have not tried it its a must for for all foody's and is a meal in its self.

The staff are a little sharp and stuffy but its only because they have the best sandwich kiosk in London and the best freshest ingredients i have seen go into a sandwich.

You could argue that its expensive, but hey you want frown prawns in a mass produced mayo wrapped two days ago and left in a fridge over night then be my guest.

KIOSK is great and just at the end of GNH.

This place is trying very hard to be the finished article if still a little way off being that. Some of the sandwiches are a little bland so ask for some mustard etc. The ingredients are second to none and the staff try their hardest to please. In terms of the place being expensive i would compare it to some of the so called "gourmet burgers" the size of a button being sold for £5 a time at "Kerb" down the road and also point out they regularly hand out discounted vouchers.
I always go for the Pork belly which is like a Sunday roast in a sandwich only spoilt by the occasional over zealous addition of unrendered fat.

Very tasty and fresh food - exactly how a Slat Beef sandwich should be. Have not tried the other meats yet, but they look just as delicious on the counter!!

Nice idea the GNH has going on there. Three roasts carved and weighed and presented with good quality accompaniments and bread. Staff a bit rude and patronising. Don't forget to go to the other side of the shop to pay the bill, staff won't budge should you give them the money to *gasp* take payment there and then. What's the point of a kiosk if you can't have front of the counter service anyway? There's plenty of serious competition in the area, I wish them the best of luck.

I had a hot pork roll here a few weeks ago & thought it was great. I decided to grab a bacon roll on the way home, after a rather heavy night out in London.
Jumped on my train & unwrapped a very disappointing bacon roll. £3.75 for a virtually cold, overcooked bacon on cheap bread roll. If I wasn't on a train heading North, I would have gone back & complained!! Avoid!!
