We were very impressed with this Travelodge (we've had mixed experiences in the past with Travelodge hotels) We chose it because its been recently renovated and is in an ideal location for a London stay. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom. We overlooked the bus station and thought it might be noisy but the soundproofing is excellent so we were able to sleep well. The staff were polite and helpful.

The only reason I have it four instead of five marks was that the breakfast staff didn't really keep up well with the pace that breakfast was needing to be served so there were often food or cutlery missing.

Well recommended place to stay, very helpful and friendly staff, food and drinks very good, clean and comfortable rooms, I'd stay here again. With Walking distance to the underground it makes it a perfect place to stay

This was the first time hubby and I have stayed in a Travelodge, we would normally stay in an independent hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, with Vauxhall bus station on one side and the tube on the other - there was no noise from either, just the occasional siren as expected when in central London. From the hotel it is a few tube stops into the centre of the city on the Victoria tube line. We even walked from the hotel along the river to the centre one day.
Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menu provided plenty of options and meal deals for those on a budget; the restaurant itself was spacious and welcoming.

On arrival the receptionist explained the location bus routes (from outside the hotel) and gave some suggestions of places to visit. Then on departure, we were asked if we went/did anything and also asked if our stay and room were enjoyed.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel to any couple looking for a city break

Great location for the tube, only 2 stops from Victoria train station and coach station. We checked in early, paying the £10 for checkin from 12, but we got there at 1 and we're told they were just checking the rooms so they'd be 5 more minutes - not a problem for us because we wanted to pop to sainsburys anyway, but bit strange as the rooms are meant to be ready at 12. Room was fine, reasonable size - looks recently refurbished. The bathroom was nice, only had a shower so may be worth asking if you want a bath. Staff were all very polite and helpful when we needed them. Room had great air con which was good. We borrowed an iron from reception which was rubbish and needed descaling and cleaning.
We had breakfast in the morning, which was horrendous - no way is it worth paying £7.65 for! Bacon and sausages were such low quality, and had been sat there for ages - the eggs were congealed scrambled, and the tomatoes weren't really cooked. The cutlery was filthy, there was no mugs or bread left when we got there. Good selection of cereal, but at £7.65 you expect a bit more than a bowl of frosties! I would stay here again but I wouldn't have breakfast.

this travelodge is well located for traveling into london. However we arrived at 14.10 after traveling from scotland and leaving at 3 am. we were not allowed to check in until 14.30 unless we paid an extra £10 which was a lot for an extra 20 minutes. Many other people arrived and we all had to wait until 14.30 then we had to wait ages until the only person on reception got everyone checked in. Rooms were very basic but clean. Breakfast was terrible they did not top up items and we had to ask for cutlery cup bread and we were unable to have a cooked breakfast as all items were not ready together. We asked at reception about the bus service and the gentleman said he was not from london and didnt know. We had no towels and had to ask at reception they said they would send them up and we are still waiting. We would not stay here again.

Great location for tube. Next to bus station and railway but double-glazed windows so not noisy. Brilliant air conditioning. Clean refurbished rooms. Very comfortable beds. Handy for Waitrose and Sainsburys Local.

First rate experience.

Hotel is clean and perfectly adequate for the price we paid. We didn't expect the ritz, we got exactly what we paid for. Its about an half hour walk to London Eye and Westminster Bridge. Beds were comfy but shower was a little temperamental with temperature! Overall nice, clean hotel. A few lovely bars across the road in St Georges wharf.
