I really really like this place. The warm staff create a really nice atmosphere. The food I have had has been really good: Delicious scrambled eggs, fish pies (really good) and cakes.
We have 2 children and have always been made feel really welcome.
I think this place is a little gem.

This is the best cafe for many things, but top the list is coffee and the cake. Latte is served in a small glass, and is at a perfect temperature. Cakes are are available. The chocolate brownie melts in the mouth. Another favourite is the Victoria Sponge Cake. There is also a small menu with main dishes, as well as bottled beer. Perfect place to meet and stay a while.

Recent works have meant that the place is more cosy in the winter.

We live nearby and try and come here every now and then - it's a nice place with decent coffee, an they always seem to be trying new things - doing fresh lemonade in the summer, bacon sarnies fried outside etc. Staff are great, and its a nice place to hand out - the attached gallery is a bit random! I would suggest however that they get some comfy sofas in, and get some music going - place can feel a bit quiet sometimes .

Down a hidden side alley, this is a great little coffee shop in the old Nunnery, now part of Bow Arts. Excellent coffee, bagels, croissants, pastries - always really fresh. They also do hot snacks and some simple meals. There are seats outside if it's warm enough. Lovely friendly atmosphere and access to the gallery which has some interesting exhibitions. If you carry on down the alleyway, there are some very pleasant gardens with a children's playground, also accessible via Fairfield Road. I am a regular visitor here. Open Tuesday-Sunday.
