We made a reservation to eat at this new restaurant but were quite wary as there were a few reviews on tripadvisor that were not very nice. We were really delighted that our experience in this restaurant was nothing short of lovely!! The waiting staff and particularly the owner were helpful, gave advice and polite and friendly. The food was delicious (especially the buffalo mozzarella and avocado) and the wines even nicer! The atmosphere was lively, loud and fun but you could still hear your table guests speak. We had a great round table, which is always better for good conversation and when booking the owner was again helpful and polite. We will definitely return!! Good luck Bufi....

A local new restaurant we are always happy to support - and so were excited to explore the new local Italian.. Having recently had a baby, we popped in early doors (5.45pm) to have a gander and a drink... Unsurprisingly the place was empty. The owner was most disgruntled to learn that the baby was asleep (meaning we couldn't leave the buggy outside as per his wish) and stuck us in a little corner. We ordered a couple of drinks, and no sooner had we taken the first few sips, the bill was bought over to us by the sour-faced owner. "I didn't realise you were just having drinks... " - in other words "finish and leave." never have we been made to feel more unwelcome - and to add insult to injury the restaurant was empty!! Anyone looking for an authentic Italian would be much better off going to Va Penserio - just a few footsteps away - or equally la Rugaletta - a friendly neighbourhood Italian with a BYoB policy in the evening... This pretentious restaurant will not survive in this family area - and they have the 'chutzpah' to call themselves 'authentic' - never have I seen an authentic Italian restaurant with bottles of Heinz Tomato Ketchup on every table - what a joke!!!!

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your feedback, however i feel it is slightly dated as this review was posted on another review website in may when we first opened so i do not believe it to be a true reflection of the restaurant now. We are a small restaurant and therefore we are unable to allow buggies into the main restaurant floor for health and safety reasons. We do have a little room however, that a lot of people actually ask to book as it is more easily accessible for buggies and wheelchairs and we would alway advise this table if you wish to keep your child inside the pram. I would assume that if you asked to keep the buggy next to you you were shown to this area of the restaurant. We serve many families with young children who either park their buggies at the front of the restaurant or fold them down so we can store them so they do not cause obstruction and we are very family friendly. In the beginning we did use heinz ketchup which i do not believe takes away the authenticity of our food, but over time we have opted to make our own tomato ketchup which is now available for customers.

Regards

Sofia

A good spot to visit after the Phoenix cinema. Calamari starters were generous (although served in a paper cone which made them awkward to eat) and the tasty, wood-fired pizzas are big enough to share. Well chosen Prosecco and Sangiovese plus friendly service from the owner-patron make this a restaurant that deserves to do well in a part of London that is not that well-served with good places to eat.

I got for a first time a pizza in Bufi. The pizza was soaked otherwise the sausages were dry.
Do not call italian pizza please...
I hope the pizza chef was in holiday.

My boyfriend organised a surprise evening for my birthday for about 12 of us on a Saturday night. The service was absolutely faultless - friendly, welcoming and timely. The food is authentically Italian and super fresh. Favourites so far are the fried squid and buffalo pizza... We will definitely be back!
