Description: A Camden pub that doesn't miss a beat.Directly over the road from Mornington Crescent tube station and almost within earshot of the iconic KOKO, it's no wonder every drink served at The Lyttelton Arms is served with a dash of finely tuned offbeat charm. Drop in for a drink or a plate of home-cooked pub food and soak up the atmosphere, stay on to see one of our acts perform or mull over the weekend's events over a restorative Sunday roast.

Cheeseburger - 10 quid, over-cooked, cold fries but i've had worse. Kind of what you'd expect from a very busy pub in Camden that attracts an after work and pre-gig crowd. Too loud to hear people talk which i suppose is a good thing if you're with people you hate. If you're with friends its a bit of a bummer.

If you fancy ordering overpriced drings from arrogant, unfriendly, unhelpful and just plain rude hipster girls, then the Lyttelton Arms is your Graceland. If this is not your thing, I recommend you stay away from it.

It's a bit of a shame, because the interior looks authentic and the seating is actually quite great. I love it if a pub offers me the choice to sit in a booth, on a couch, in an armchair, or with a group of friends at a big table (it is the only reason why I'm rating this 'poor' and not 'terrible').

The food is average at best (insipid if you ask me). The drinks are 1 quid above the average pub price and the beer selection is rather unimaginative. Order a vodka-coke, and (thanks for the quote, Doug Stanhope) some scientist pops out of the floorboard with a system of weights and measures and a stainless steel cilinder to assure that you will not get even the vapours more than one measure. While this last thing is annoying throughout the UK, the Lyttelton arms seems to extra stingy. Mention to the bar ladies that the vodka-coke really tastes just like coke, and that it's your first drink of the night so your judgement is still within parameters, and you're very likely to get some snotty response telling you to go somewhere else or something to the same effect.

I live nearby, so really gave this plenty of opportunity, but after the third time of me and my friends having similar experiences with the bar staff, I have seen enough. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya.

If you fancy a drink in Camden but without the noise and tourists it's worth taking a short walk down the high street to this nice pub. It's quiet and spacious if a little pricey.
It has an unattractive mural along one internal wall but it's comfortable and the light fittings are made form old washing machine drums and scouring pads.
Very nice place I thought.
