Description: Delicious Mexican street food on the corner of Waterloo Road and the Cut. Walls are constructed from recycled railway sleepers and over 4 miles of bright yellow cord make up the relaxed seating, bringing the bright colours of a Oaxacan market to this corner of South London.

“Quality from a container”

On the riverbank, just off Waterloo bridge, we stumbled upon this Mexican hidden treasure
It was a sunny warm day so everybody was out. We had to wait for a table outside, only for 5 minutes even though the lady at the door said it could take up to half an hour. We had mojito's and margherita's and decided to stay for a bite. Because if the cockatils are this good, the food must at least touch this quality. It did indeed. We had two beef taco's each. Loaded with beef, veggies, salsa etc. A meal! A very good one. Tender beef, fresh veggies and lettuce, good tasting salsa. Compliments to the service as well; on point, kind, sweet, fast and actually able to listen.

“Such fun!!!”
Reviewed 5 July 2013

This is a recently opened branch of Whahca opposite The Fire Station and Waterloo Station. From the outside it looks tiny but is really quite big inside and the decor is amazing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our drinks were swiftly delivered whilst we tried to choose from the extensive menu. There is a good selection of alcoholic drinks, Margheritas are amazing, or non-alcoholic drinks, try the Agua frescas.
We shared a selection of dishes which is a great way to try lots of different and new foods such as Cactus Taco. Even if you don't have room for pudding do treat yourself to a shot of Mexican hot chocolate, its truly amazing.
A great place for a group of friends or a romantic dinner for two
