Description: Delicious Mexican street food on the corner of Waterloo Road and the Cut. Walls are constructed from recycled railway sleepers and over 4 miles of bright yellow cord make up the relaxed seating, bringing the bright colours of a Oaxacan market to this corner of South London.

“Hot and spicy”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

We went here whilst visiting London. When we arrived it was empty, when we left it was full. You can definitely see why as the food and service was excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.

“Lovely food, shame about the noise”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Following a visit to the Old Vic, we visited Wahaca. This branch was new to us, but we had enjoyed Mexican Street food before. As expected we had to wait for our table. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty, fresh and interesting, and above all reasonable by Central London standards. Unfortunately it was almost impossible to hold a conversation, even though we were placed at the edge of the restaurant, as the noise levels were really unacceptable. Another downside: the toilets were above the restaurant and you had to go down the stairs and then up again to be able to escape.

“Amazing decor and impressive views.”

What an amazing building made out of recycled cargo freight ship containers/crates that you see on ships. Should be on "grand designs!" Lovely Mexican twist.

Order the pulled pork burrito and and sweet potato sides! Mouth watering amazing goodness!
I love the atmosphere and have now tried all the Wahacas, they're all the same and just as good.
