The hotel is very well located, right opposite Carnaby Street and just over the road from Liberty's. The majority of the reception staff and concierges were lovely but I had a lot of trouble understanding one of the receptionist's foreign accent. Even when I rang down I couldn't understand what he was saying. The colour scheme of the large reception area was a bit jumbled but that is just personal taste. My aunt and I shared a twin bedded room which was of a good size and very clean but she was just a little disappointed that there was no walk in shower and that she had to try and step over the bath edge to use it and with 2 replacement hips this was not easy. The breakfast was adequate and the staff were charming. My main gripe about this hotel is that there was no free wifi in the rooms so if you didn't want to pay you had to sit in the reception area. This is by no means a cheap hotel so why are guests expected to pay extra ?

Room Tip: Our room did not overlook the main street so was quiet.

Very expensive hotel for what is offered. I was given upgrade which was at back of hotel, delivery vehicles early morning including emptying bottle bank into truck outside my window. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. £240 for the night, not worth half. Would not go to this hotel again. By the way you have to ask for a quiet room - "because you are in London sir" So don't ask for upgrade and make sure you-get a quiet room. For £240 you would think that was a given!!

I have visited this hotel on a number of occasions and was particularly troubled with my latest visit

It was with obvious concern that I and a large number of patrons witnessed staff totally unprepared for a fire alarm activation. These staff were unable to manage or use the fire alarm system, unable to detect the location of the fire activation and what was most problematic - didnt know how to turn off the alarm (had to listen to it for an hour)

The other recurring theme from this hotel is that they are not able to get their wifi sorted. From my visits at check-in, they advise you that the wifi is being serviced.

What a great location. Soho is such a vibrant area, pubs, cafes and eclectic shops and has more soul than the centre of town which is a 5 minute stroll to Oxford St. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the intersection of Marleborough and Carnaby St and although very busy our double glazed window kept out any noise below. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and our room was comfortable and clean with a good bed and linen.if staying in London I would recommend this hotel and would stay again

Room Tip: the front rooms have a good view to the street theatre below, but are also quiet

we went here for a champagne lunch, the hotel looked very nice and the food was excellent the service was very good , we stayed about an hour so not much to say about the rest of the hotel the outside was in a tree line road with lots of shops and bars by it so they would be lots to do .

We had a one night stop over in London before travelling into the country and we had booked a show in West End, so the location was absolutely perfect. The hotel was within walking distance of Buckinham Palace, Palace of Westminster and Trafalgar Square as well as being only a short walk from the theatres. Upon arrival we were met by a porter who took our bags and brought us into the hotel. The lobby was nicely furnished and the room was adequate although the bathroom was a little dirty. We paid $535 for a Superior Room and we were informed at reception that we had been given an upgrade. However, even though the room cost so much, we still had to pay for WiFi in the room which was a major sticking point. All in all, a very convenient place to stay, with comfortable furnishings, but just not worth the money.

This is my third stay at the Courthouse and by far the worst. You can't beat the location, as it is down the street from my office and in the middle of a bustling area. The staff is great, but maintenance is highly lacking. There were large stains all over the carpet. As someone else noted, random couches are in the hallways. The hook for the shower head was broken. The shower sputtered water all over the bathroom and created a mini-flood each morning. We were on the side facing an alley and there was trash clanging every night. Also wired internet was available for a (high) cost. When I called to ask about wifi, I was told that I would need to wait until Maintenance came in the next morning so they could bring a router to my room.

If I had found another hotel that could accommodate me and my family on short notice, I would have gladly moved. We stayed for a few days at a value hotel in another part of town and it was much friendlier and more comfortable. It also cost in dollars what this place cost in GBP under a corporate rate!

I will not be returning, for business or pleasure.
