Like lots of places with rooftop views, when it is warm and sunny they get busy...be prepared for a bit of a wait at peak times or go off peak...

Tips...if eating, put your name down on arrival...and order 2 drinks each...to avoid having to join the question at the bar...take a jumper...it gets chilly when the sun goes down...

They could do with a second bar at the other end of the space....

The toilets are...um...basic...

This is an amazing place for a drink. Beautiful in the heart of [trendy] peckham.

You will wait to get in unless you are very (before 6pm) early. You will wait in a chicane for a drink. You will wait to order food. It will be worth it, but you will begrudge it.

Frank's is an absolute gem. It's right next to Peckham Rye station (max 3 min walk, turn left out the station, then cross the road) at the top of a car-park. The views are incredible, the prices reasonable, and there's a really fun atmosphere. Looking forward to returning next summer.

when a friend suggested meeting for a drink at the top of a multi storey carpark, I had my reservations. I shouldn't have.
Whilst it's not the easiest to find, it is well worth the climb up to one of the widest london skyline views I've seen, and for a tenth of the price of most.

Frank's Cafe is open through the summer months whilst the top few levels of the carpark are closed to vehicles. you get to the top open level, and at one end there is a bar with plenty of picnic table style seating. bar is reasonably priced for draft Meantime lagers and beers, spirits, wine and a small selection of cocktails (although be warned, they are served in plastic glasses).
but that isn't the highlight. the almost uninterupted views from the Millenium wheel over to the Millenium Dome is worth the visit alone. Bring your camera, stay til sunset, and you won't regret it.

On the lower floors there are art/performance type entertainments at various days/times. we didn't spend time, but they looked popular.

get there early, or be prepared to stand in a queue inside the car park, which is no-ones idea of a fun night out.

Frank's pop-up café at Peckham's Bold Tendencies sculpture show is THE place to go and hang out on a summer's evening. One goes for the unique panorama of London's skyline seen from the 10 th floor of the multi-storey car-park which hosts what has become an annual fixture in Peckham's summer calendar. Food , simple but tasty and only a small selection of dishes which reflect what is available n the day at the market, is prepared and served from a tiny but efficient kitchen space. On a busy night, the scene resembles the feeding of the five thousand and to the backdrop of some event or other , a delicious al fresco supper comes with free entertainment. The staff are great , even the bouncers are smiley , and the queues to get in are orderly and happy.
