Near our hotel, on a mid afternoon in London we stopped at Pappa Rotis for a quick treat and we discovered an entirely new world of buns (sweet bread). We sampled this light, fluffy treat that has a soft texture and buttery center. The choice of drink was cappuccino, but later we saw that there was an interesting tea being served - Karak tea. Two days later we stopped at Pappa Rotis again and this time we tried the tea. It's very flavorful and no wonder that its popularity is soaring from Asia to Europe. But back to the Roti. It means "bread" in Malay and it
originates from Malaysia. There are now hundreds of these Roti coffee shops in Asia and the Middle East and this store was the first on in London. It won't be the last for sure. The aroma of the buns make your mouth water as you stand in line to order your treat. But rest assured, the wait is worth it! So enjoy the sweat treat - and you will come back again to have more!
