“So much space”

After being on the road for 4 weeks it was such a delight to stay at one place for 7 nights.
As we were shown through the apartment it was very obvious that it was quite large which also included 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen plus an office area so we were very impressed with our choice of stay.
Also not far to the metro station and shops and an easy to walk to the Thames.
The only negatives being the lack of double glazing on the street facing windows and a few squeaky floor boards but apart from that everything else was great.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property
Bedding & mattresses Kitchen & utensils
Bathroom cleanliness Service
Liked best: The size of the apartment
Liked least: Noise from the street.

“comfortable flat at great location”

location is great! 5 minutes walk to borough tube station, 10 Minutes walk to borough market, 10 minutes walk to southwark bridge, and Times riverside. flat is clean and comfortable with one bedroom, very nice kitchen, big sitting room, and two bath rooms. Flat is very secure, with locked door downstairs, and the front door is locked during night and weekend.
no elevator, if you have big luggage, it is difficult to carry it upstairs.
The windows facing to the street have no glass, only blind, so it is a bit noisy at night, the street is quiet, but you can still hear cars driving through the street, and fire fight trucks alarming. even if the bedroom is not facing the street.
The shower head of one bath room is leaking water, it had not been fixed until we left. so three of us were only using the other shower.
The door facing the street can't be locked, we had to use a chair to stop it opened by wind.

Thank you to Rose B for a good review.
However, we do need to correct a couple of things. OF COURSE, all windows in the apartment have glass panes. Most windows in the UK are sash cord windows which can be pulled up and down. Unfortunately, one of the windows in the living room had been left open by the cleaner. As the blind was pulled down, she forgot to check it. It is a VERY simple operation to close the window as all you have to do is to pull up the blind and then pull up the window. London can get relatively cold in the winter so it is not possible to live in a flat which has no glass panes in the windows !!
The apartment has two bathrooms. Unfortunately, one of the showers started to leak 48 hours into their stay. A new shower was ordered immediatley from the manufacturer but this was not delivered until the morning of their departure date so we are very sorry about this inconvenience. The apartment is located on the second floor and from the living room there is a door leading out to the fire escape. To lock this door from the inside, the handle needs to be turned up. The written instructions in the apartment explains this ! There is also a free landline telephone - and we were only a call away if you had any questions.
Very good to hear that the flat was comfortable at a great locatioon.
Thank you and best wishes,
Rolf Skotnes

“Southwark is the best location for London sightseers”
Reviewed 25 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Excellent location (Oyster card essential) for nearby tube (three lines), bus (esp route RV1) and walking to Old London Town, Globe, Golden Hinde, Borough Market and riverside including Greenwich: plenty of eateries to choose from at London Bridge (ten minutes walk). Guide books provided in very spacious comfortable flat with good facilities. For third person on sofa bed, sleeping with window open fronting Southwark Bridge Road might be too noisy in summer (we visited in October): traffic noise not at all bad but sirens not unknown: no noise problem in main bedroom. Good pick-up point for British Airport Taxis booking to Heathrow (about GBP45) - car waits at Shell garage forecourt opposite. Rubbish collection once per week - put single black bag (provided) on roadside pavement Wednesday evening. Recommended.

“Lovely, light modern conversion”

This is a great warehouse conversion in an ideal location in Southwark. Up two flights of stairs is a well appointed modern apartment, with heaps of space and everything you could possibly need. The location, mintues from the wonderful Borough Market, Tate Modern, Millenium Bridge and St Paul's is great. Excellent public transport is very close and the management company is highly efficient and helpful.

“Top location, top place.”

Stayed in this lovely apartment for just over a week at the beggiining of April 2015 and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Yes the two flights up are a bit steep and if you have heavy luggage it could be a struggle...we were met at the apartment by a lovely fellow called Rodney who not only showed us the ropes but gallantly carried my quite heavy suitcase up for me. Bonus! Pluses: it's light, spacious and warm. The roominess was terrific. For a couple of days there were three of us in the apartment but the spaciousness and two bathrooms meant we never felt crowded. The double bed was comfortable - not fantastic - but ok and the trundle bed they set up for the extra bod was perfectly adequate. The couch in the lounge area was super comfy and long enough for two to sit on very comfortably ( there's also an Eames chair and footstool as well ) and the kitchen iwas terrific and well equipped. The location was perfect...five minutes walk to the fabulous Borough Market which was a highlight of our London stay....try The Gentlemens Barista Union just around the corner for excellent coffee and hot chocolate, Est.india the Restaruant next door for really delicious Indian, Tas for superb Turkish. The apartment is close to both Borough (4mins) and Southwark Tube (8 mins)and the excellent bus service the RV1 is just around the corner so access to virtually everywhere you'd want to visit is so, so simple. We easily walked to the Tate Modern ( the sixth floor restaurant has divine views and excellent food) the Tower and London Bridges, along the wonderful Thames, back and forth over the millennium Bridge and to St Paul's for evensong. This really is a superbly located and very comfortable place. The one minus was minor - the street the apartment is situated on is a major road so traffic noise in the morning and during the day in the front lounge and kitchen area can be loud...the back large bedroom is not affected by this at all and as we were out and about virtually all day it wasn't a major issue. One of the bathrooms has a bath and I have to say after a heavy day's footslog soaking in a lovely deep bath was another huge bonus. The owners have left really good notes with tips, suggestions, and instructions and everything worked wonderfully. We loved it.
