Excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the free coffee and tea. The lamps and decoration were amazing.
Close to Aldgate East underground station which is ideal for sightseeing. Couldn't fault it. Food available via vending machines and buffet breakfast at extra cost. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Have just returned back after 3 day stay at Qbic London, have stayed previously and once again have thoroughly enjoyed everything about hotel. Beds are sooo comfortable, shower is excellent, and tea/coffee facilities superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel, In fact have booked for myself and family to stay in November. Was booked in here by work for an overnight business stay. The exterior is seriously unpromising, but through the doors you're immediately in a quirky fun ambience, characterful to a fault. The welcome is friendly and check in no-fuss. Everything works. Where it will divide people is on the design. Someone has done a seriously thoroughgoing cute design and branding job here and it is consistently cute right down to the teddy bears you hang on the door for 'Do Not Disturb'. The design is not for everyone: there are way too many adorable messages on every surface, even by the tap. Made me feel as though I was in a bizarre student-ish cult dorm. More serious downsides are that the room is so minimal that there is no wardrobe space in the bedrooms except for 6 wire hangers on the wall. Personally I am not wild about waking up to find a TV in my face. And I really hate this trend for semi-private bathrooms. Glass panels in the bathroom entrance mean that if someone is on the loo, anyone entering the room gets a grandstand view. Also the bathroom door does not shut fully: why would anyone think that a hotel room is enhanced by being able to hear everything that goes on in the toilet? Weird. On the serious upside: the bed is great: really good sleep despite being in busy Whitechapel. The neighbourhood is getting gentrified but still funky and real: greta coffee shops all around especially Exmouth Coffee (the one to the left of Whitechapel Gallery with no sing on it.) Pure range is akin to Premiere Travel Inn so if you want some relief from purple and orange decor this is fun. But on balance, but comfort and reliability I would go with Premier Travel Inn

Room tip: We had the largest size (20 square metres) which was fine - to huge but adequate

Dear svendb,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write your review.

We are grateful for your lovely feedback and appreciate your kind comments.

We take all our reviews very seriously and pass all feedback onto the relevant staff members. Regarding the feedback about the hangers in the room, this is something we are working on currently and are looking to implement a wardrobe into the guest rooms however this will take place in due course.
We understand this can become an inconvenience to a traveller and apologise for this.
The glass panels on the side of the bathroom door will be frosted in time so there will be privacy in the bathroom.
I am sorry to hear the bathroom door did not fully close, we will pass this onto our maintenance team so we can get this fixed straight away.

Once again we are disappointed to hear your experience here at Qbic was not fully met and do hope you can give our hotel another chance.

Qbic is not for everyone and we understand that, however we want all our guests to be fully satisfied when they leave the hotel and will do our best to meet all requirements.

We would love to see you return soon.

Thank you

Kind Regards

All I can say is it's perfect for the urban traveller. Stylish, clean, excellent decor, super service, concept is JUST BRILLIANT! More of these hotels all over the world please. Sometimes we don't need room service and the rest of those frills. We just want a great place to stay, have some tea.coffee, sleep in a stylish room and feel happy. THIS hotel does just that. I will definitely be going back. Service was super, rooms are the best. Beds are fabulous & very comfortable. Slept like a BABY! If you're happy to self service yourself (take iron board up to your room etc) this place is perfect for your needs. Excellent place to stop in the city!

Room tip: We stayed in a cosy room and were very happy with the space.

stayed for 8 nights. even though i saw the photos online - was amazed when i actually saw how clever was the design throughout the hotel and in the rooms. its really impressive and i enjoyed it tremendously.
first booked a windowless room, but it got humid after 3 days and was unpleasant. i was upgraded without charge to another room with a window, and the experience was greatly improved. i was really happy to stay there. the staff is wonderful and i felt i had everything i needed without the clutter of regular hotel rooms.

Room tip: i wouldn't recommend a windowless room, unless you put the a/c on constantly.
