When you walk into Qbic London there is a note on the floor “Oh no, not you again!” And somehow the sarcasm, in a strange and quirky way, makes you feel right at home.
The room was distinctly square and decorated with unique handmade pieces of furniture you are not likely to find anywhere else. In fact, you won’t, since they work with a local designer who makes the pieces especially for the hotel. My favourite was the lamp at the end of the bed crafted from a yellow coiled, contorted garden hose.
Great shower head, most comfy bed ever and the breakfast was amazing. I found it hard to fault anything, you can read more on the blog. And I'll be back for sure.

What a find! My husband and I stayed here for 8 days for a conference and then some free time in London. It was clean and the staff were super friendly! The free wifi was a good selling point for us and the connection speeds were also very good! The free tea and coffee were also very good, especially for a hotels - good coffee can be tricky to find in the UK and it's quite expensive. So being absolute coffee addicts, it was great to be able to dose up on our morning coffee without having to venture out of the hotel. That alone saved us time and a lot of money. Being able to buy food from the Tesco around the corner and reheat in the common area was also a life and money saver!
The hotel was only 50m from Aldgate East tube station so was also convenient for tripping to Westminister for my conference and then sight seeing around London. We loved the big common area downstairs, as we were here during the World Cup and were able to drop by each night there was a game and watch it on the bigger screen with a group of people, without the hassles of going to a pub.
The quirkiness of the hotel with their little notes / quotes of the day in the elevator also made us laugh each day.
We would definitely go back the next time we are in London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window - the window ledge doubles as a shelf for putting things on.

This hotel absolutely reminded me of the Ace hotel, (back when the Ace was a budget Hipster alternative, not a velvet rope Shoreditch joke).

If you are the sort of person, who expects a Marriot/Hilton type of experience, then do not stay here. You will hate it. It doesn't have a desk, nor a mini fridge, nor a endless supply of crappy toiletries..... Its a minimalist, comfortable, cool, hip, efficient place to stay.

We stayed in the bigger room. It was a VERY big room. Minimalist , to say the least (just the built in cube in the middle of the room, and the thing to hang your stuff in the corner), and you could have easily had four friends over for yoga. Bed was heavenly.

Location was super "up and coming". Whitechapel gallery across the way, Aldgate station a block away, plus a ten minute walk to Spitafields/Commercial St area (Ten Bells! Commercial St Pub!). Oh, and Bricklane starts across the way, so great food. Also, Tesco and Starbucks a few steps away as well, if you need essentials.

We will absolutely stay here again on our next London jaunt!

Room Tip: Upgrade. Its worth the bigger room.

Stayed for one night and we really enjoyed it.
Bed was comfy, room was decorated great, shower and bathroom was lovely and clean.
Giving free drinks was a nice touch which we liked.
We also arrived an hour early but that was not a problem, the receptionist was very pleasant.
The tube station was down the road and the famous brick lane
Can't wait to stay there again

Stayed overnight with my boyfriend as we were going to a gig in london. Love how modern the hotel is and did not mind the openness of the bathroom. Could not figure out how the free coffee and tea worked but grabbed some juice, cereal bars and fruit on our way out. Beds were very comfortable and slept very well. Liked how easy the check in and check out was. However we found a dirty tissue behind the bed which looked to be soiled with blood, the cleaner should have been able to see this if we were?

Dear Holly T,

Thank you for your kind feedback.

It is great to hear you liked our hotel, the design concept and had a great nights sleep.

I would like to offer my sincere apologies for this, our housekeeping department do their utter best to make sure all of our rooms are cleaned properly. We are one of the cleanest hotels in London and it is disappointing to hear this. I will pass this onto the Head Housekeeper and ensure you that this will not occur again. Please do contact me directly so we can arrange for you to have an amazing experience with us. Email: madiha.rizvi@qbichotels.com

Thank you once again
