“Minor gripes.”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

I've now stayed at the Soho 17 times, all on holiday, and still love the hotel. My only gripe is that the bar staff and breakfast staff are not as attentive as in the past. In the bar I had to continually try and catch the eye of the floor walker and at breakfast time the waiting staff seem to be understaffed therefore resulting in poor service. The front of house staff and houskeepng staff were top notch.

What a great hotel, in the middle of SoHo. If you have money to spend, do it here, rooms aren't cheap but you get a lot for your money.
Entrance is in sort of a dead-end alley and very low-key. Once you're in, you feel the comfort of the hotel. Very centrally located. Love the neighborhood.
The positives:
We had a Deluxe room on the 4th floor (421), which is a great room, very spacious, large box-spring bed, a small sofa and lots of space to walk around. Windows from floor to ceiling and very nicely decorated and comfortable. Large (46") flatscreen and JBL docking station plus Tivoli radio with Wifi and connected to radio in bathroom. 2 Closets, with lots of space for a weeks wardrobe. Minibar well stocked and according to the latest fashion, not only food and drinks.
Bathroom is huge, with enormous bath with flatscreen. Separate large great shower.
The minor negatives:
Windows could be opened, but lots of noise from the air conditioners on the other buildings. Air conditioner in the room was very loud (too loud for this kind of luxury), so sleeping comfort was challenging.

Room Tip: It has been said before, you are in central London, rooms on the first 3 floors might therefore face...

From the moment they take your bags to when you leave, it's apparent that your comfort is foremost to the hotel. We received a free upgrade to a Junior Deluxe Suite upon arrival and once in our room, received a phone call from reception offering us free champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary a few days earlier. The room was huge, and was immaculate in every way. Every time we existed the room, the ninja staff somehow appeared, replenished the toiletries, turned down the bed and plumed the pillows without us ever seeing them. Our only regret was only spending three nights here, when it should have been at least five.

The hotel has a great atmosphere and has one of the finest trained staff, since the time of check-in I could notice the efficiency. The customer service associate was very helpful to me and my wife. This is a must recommended hotel and has to be experienced by staying once.
The rooms were superb, very colorful and the decor was just great. It really lightens the mood of a traveler if one has good combination of soothing colors in the room.
The excellent room service and great selection of wine made my evening happy and the kids enjoyed the time in the swimming pool.

Had afternoon tea here last weekend with a group of 10 girls. We had booked last minute as another place had let us down and so were accommodated in the dining room which still had a boutique charm about it. We had a brilliant time the service was discreet but attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Mixture of savoury and sweet - only criticism would be that there was only one sandwich filling provided. Tea was provided one cake stand between two which I was worried wouldn't be enough, but it was LOADS! Treated ourselves to a fabulous cocktail as well which was included in the deal. The price was very reasonable for London prices but it still felt special and posh. Looking forward to treating some friends to this for Christmas and maybe experiencing the Drawing Room or the Library. Would definitely come here again for afternoon tea, drinks or more.

My whole family stayed here about a week in August. I picked this hotel for its beautiful sparkling clean luxury rooms but my expectations were surpassed with the wonderful service. This hotel is in the heart if Soho London, tucked into a side street of it own within a bustling bohemian neighborhood. You could stay here 2 weeks just to see the nearby neighborhoods honestly. We had three rooms - one junior suite, one slightly upgraded and one regular double. The junior had a king bed by US bed sizes and the other two rooms had Queen beds by US bed sizes. The rooms were stunning. I have an art background and enjoyed every aspect of the rooms and hotel common areas from an esthetics perspective.
The junior suite had an amazing tub with a TV as well as a glass shower. The room had all the amenities some might look for-mini bar included with a great liquor selection. We purchased breakfast with the room. They will bring it to your room on request. They always offered a little something extra. The food was nice.
With my father, sister, daughter and I coming and going plus a car - we required lots of attention. The front desk guys and valets were our best friends by the time we left. They were always kind courteous and helpful. We appreciated the water offered for the car rides. Really, this hotel could give lessons to the others on how to server guests. At night the bar is really hopping. This is a got spot contemporary bar scene within Soho. But none of the noise makes it up stairs to the rooms. I never heard a peep in fact of anything. The hotel is frequented by notables - I didn't realize this but learned it later after reading up. I did see a BBC personality while at breakfast and many well heeled business visitors. Makes sense. Some of the networks have offices nearby.
The night life is late in Soho so this is a great place for couples in search of adventure. Driving in London is challenging so my advice is take a taxi if you don't need a car. If you do, the hotel will help you pay the congestion tax.
We loved the Soho and want to thank the front desk and valet staff for making us feel welcome, important, and like old friends. Highly recommended. I've got to try NY Firmdale next.

Room Tip: Stay there long enough to see the area. There is a lot to do and Soho is made for cafes and languish...

My third stay in this Hotel and it was as good as I remember it. Big bespoke luxurious rooms, perfect location, great bar and excellent food. And it's a boutique hotel It would be hard to stay anywhere else.
