The Soho Hotel lives up to all of the fabulous reviews! Our room (we were surprised with an upgrade at check in) was beautifully decorated, spacious, and extremely clean. We couldn't have been more comfortable! The hotel has a great location, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the fitness center is more than adequate. This hotel is a great find! I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

First stay at this hotel and would definitely seek an opportunity to go back. I booked a luxury room but on arrival got upgraded to a deluxe room. The greeting was warm, genuine quick and easy. They were also very helpful on making arrangements we needed for dinner or anything. The room was wonderful, spacious, luxurious and with all you could wish for. ( I would have though liked and expected tea and coffee making facilitiesthough ). Beautiful bathroom with double sinks and good separate shower and deep bath. One small negative point was that lighting in the bathroom was either full on and very bright - great for putting on make up, but not very romantic for a bath for two, or none! The bed was high and wonderfully comfortable. We did not use the bar or restaurant in the evening but breakfast was fantastic , delicious , fresh and generous. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, as is all the hotel, with a lovely quirky but quality finishes. The service throughout the hotel is the best I have ever experienced, absolutely faultless. We had ordered a second jug of coffee at breakfast but realised we needed to go to our room to pack, without us even asking the coffee was delivered to our room for us to enjoy there. Great stuff Soho Hotel - this is a place I will recommend highly as often as I can and make sure that I find that reason to go back!

Let's make no bones of this the Soho hotel is not cheap.......which is good......it is however excellent value in my opinion. Our room was beautifully decorated, supremely comfortable, as clean as a whistle and a joy to stay in. Staff in the hotel were all attentive and on the whole helpful.....some more than others. We found the concierge team to be particularly friendly, helpful and fun to be around. Reception staff were always polite, but some a little too aware of their own worth (maybe a little unfair as only a minor niggle). The bar and public areas are also stunning, private lounges quiet and exclusive, the bar more buzzy (at times bouncing). We stayed four nights and the occasional gifts of macaroons and tubs of luxury moisturiser accompanied by a note from the GM a lovely personal touch. This is class with a capital C accompanied by just the right amount of kwerk!

Room Tip: Ours was a luxury room with lots of space, a good sized bathroom and plenty of hanging space.

Would stay there again every time, I went to London. The room was very nice and had an interesting view. The service was wonderful. They remembered every thing you liked. They sent a person to the Museum to get us tickets for a Special Exhibit at the time we wanted to go. The food was wonderful and they would remember what you had the previous day and did you want that again. On the day we checked out very early, they made special arrangements to give us breakfast.

Stayed here 4 nights at the end of October with my wife for her birthday. The location is as central as you can ask for - right in the middle of a sea of restaurants, coffee shops, shopping areas, theatres, and 5-10 minutes walk from several tube stops. Even though a busy/happening area, the hotel is set back into a quiet alley and although we had a room one floor up and right over the hotel entrance (and over the fairly noisy restaurant) we were never bothered by outside noise. We prefer more modern style hotels and although the Soho can't really be classified as modern, it certainly has none of the more typical older English style. Everything is brand new.

We didn't really use the hotel service much, but the little we did hinted at good attention to the guests needs. However, in this area lies my main "complaint" about our stay. I had ordered flowers for delivery to our room (had requested any time during the afternoon). For our last day there were no flowers delivered and naturally I was very disappointed. Upon checking out the next day it turns out we had left the "do not disturb" sign hanging on our room door when we left to walk around town for the rest of the day and they told me they have very strict rules to never disturb such a request, but had indeed tried several times to deliver the flowers. I thought this logic a bit twisted as I had specifically ordered to have flowers delivered to the room that afternoon. I can see where they're coming from, but also think they're doing themselves and their customers a disservice. My suggestion would be to leave a note under the door.

There is a restaurant on the premises and it's surprisingly noisy (fairly loud music) for what I'd expect from a high-end hotel. I get the feeling they're trying to be a bit cool and that way setting themselves apart from the more typical luxurious London hotels. We ate there once and it seemed like a decent place. For very late drinkers they have a sitting area with an honor bar which seemed like a nice touch.

Finally, in terms of getting to the hotel from Heathrow airport you do have some options. Subway is one way to go, but unless you're really good with directions or familiar with the area, or it's rush hour, take a car service. We asked the hotel and they offered a limo for around 95 pounds. Now, if you're staying at an expensive hotel like this, you probably don't worry too much about a few quid here or there. Fair enough. But if you're like us and don't care if you're in a fancy car or a "normal" car, then I can warmly recommend Hummingbird Cars for about half the price. I agonized a lot picking a good service that wouldn't start our trip off on a bad note and these guys had a lot of good reviews. I must say, for what it is I was impressed. We used them both coming and going, and they were on time, clean, courteous and everything was confirmed by email several times. However, it was a regular (well used) car, not a fancy mercedes (tho having done plenty of business travelling with fancier limo firms, that certainly is no guarantee of better service).

Would we stay there again? Probably.

Actually off Dean Street in busy Soho, there was friendly welcome at the reception area of this busy West End Wardour Street film and media land Hotel. Beautifully reconstructed from a car park and showroom, there are still elements of its origins in the decorations in the ground floor bar and restaurant. On the ground floor, there are two quieter lounge areas, if the bar is busy. It's not cheap, but it is right there in the middle of bustling Soho, and great fun too. The screening rooms are downstairs, two fine cinemas, and another dining room for private receptions, and a large gym, empty when we were there early evening.

We stayed last night, and while the location is not the best in London, the staff and hotel are superb. Our room was as described and the quality was more than we expected, such as the quality of the sheets, the bed and the furniture in general. The rooms were large for London and the sound-proofing is excellent. Everything was just so impressive, not least the breakfast, which was superb, e.g. a good buffet and lobster brioche. We were very impressed.
