We have stayed here several times over the last 12 months. Not suprisingly situated in the heart of Soho this is the perfect city retreat. The rooms are what you would expect from a modern boutique hotel and are immaculately clean. The service we have experienced from reception/restaurant/bar/house-keeping have never fallen short of excellent. The bar in particular is extremely popular and cool. The food in the restaurant can be hit and miss, but the breakfasts are well worth getting out of your room for.
There are so many great restaurants nearby of all styles and type that to be honest for our long weekend we didnt venture that far from the hotel and rarly needed a cab.

A group of friends and I had the most fabulous tea ever at the Soho Hotel. Not only was it in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel drawing room, it was also plentiful. The service was outstanding, as was the cost.

We all loved the experience so much, we felt that we will have to go back and stay! We have rooms booked for March 2010. More reviews to come.

I stayed at The Soho Hotel for two nights with a colleague. We found the staff at the hotel to be friendly, courteous and helpful. The rooms we both had were spacious and beautifully decorated. The detail in each room is particularly impressive - a digital radio in the bathroom and also by the bedside. The bathrooms were luxurious and contained many excellent products. I think the location of this hotel - in the heart of Soho and close to some of the finest restaurants in London - is a winner. The service and quality of the accommodation make this my first choice for a hotel in London. The breakfasts were amazing - freshly prepared fruits and an excellent choice of cooked meals. The bar is buzzing from early evening to late night. I could not find a single fault with this hotel.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a romantic weekend to celebrate my birthday and found that this hotel is expensive for what it is. We have stayed in several "high end" establishments (Claridges, The Berkeley, The Dorchester and 41 - which is my favourite) and there is no comparison. Sure the staff are friendly enough and the location is convenient, but there's nothing about this place that makes it SPECIAL. I didn't feel as if there was anything that made it stand out from a normal chain hotel, which is a shame as the building itself has so much more potential. The problem is that it tries to be trendy and so loses any sense of personality and luxury, but instead holds an air of pretentiousness. Decor is a bit Ikea, comfort and food in the restaurant all a bit blah. I just felt that the overall feel was what you would expect for any 3/4 star establishment, but with 5 star prices. That's fine if you like that sort of thing, but for me I'd say knock £100 off the nightly rate and we're about right.

Ok, this revoiew is probably a bit to old. However, since we just booked another stay there, I wanted to post a review. A very nice, well deisgned hotel right in the centre of Soho in London (rather than one of the typical hotel areas). Only possible downside could be the room size / price ratio. But if you are feeling generous towards yourself (or someone else) - it's a great choice

Pretty quaint hotel that was clean and well polished. I found it overpriced though for what it was. the rooms were nice but the beds were hard. food was ok at the restaurant though i expected better for such high cost. staff were friendly and wonderfully helpful. would be good for business trip but perhaps not for leisure.

From the moment we walked into the hotel until the time that we departed the staff were completely outstanding, it's great to see that in this day and age that there are still hotels that offer real authentic service with a smile. I was in awe of the standards of everything - the service, the room, the comfort of the beds, the designer furniture, and its location in the heart of London in the Soho district. Amazing and can't wait to return
On the down side the restaurant is a little bit pricey in the evening for my budget!
