We stayed here as the start of a long vacation to Europe in July. The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. At the time of our stay, the public transport system was in chaos and the reception was able to print off timetables and direct us to the tube. It is so handy into town with bus and train close by. The breakfast is plentiful and the breakfast room was a lovely and sunny start to the day. Our room was lovely and clean with a new bathroom. This was our second trip to the London Guest House and we would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to London.

Room Tip: Our room was downstairs near the breakfast room and was lovely and quiet, had just been renovated. T...

It was my second time at LGH and I'm sure it won't be the last. The staff really helps you with everything you need and they are very kind. Sure the location is not the best in London but the price and the good service compensates all. The breakfast was better than any other b&b I've been in. The only thing I didn't like was that the wifi signal was poor and we had to go downstairs to check emails.

We stayed here as a base for going to Take That.
Reception was very welcoming. The room was for 5 people, not huge but exactly what we needed. Clean and bright with a fridge in the room, we were overall very impressed.
The breakfast was good, about 4 choices of cereals, toast, watermelon etc and several choices of drink.
Taxi to wembley was £24. We will definatly stay here again when going to wembley!

Our first impression of the hotel was that it was incredibly tiny, but because we didn't stay in the room at all during the day (and what tourist would) this didn't affect us at all. The facilities were immaculately clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. The included continental breakfast was quite basic but at the same time, was a great start to the day. There is a London tube station (Acton Town) about 15mins away which is a lengthy walk particularly during the evening hours. However, a 5 pound cab ride should get you to the hotel in no time. There was road works outside our room at the time we were here which were loud and made it hard to sleep but they'll be long done by the time anyone who reads this will book a stay.Unfortunately we prematurely checked out and are incredibly depressed as we cannot find anything better for the price. I'm currently writing this in the devonshire arms pub in Picadilly Circus after booking a crap hole of a hostel and wishing I had booked more nights at the London guest house. Do you're self a favour and book this hotel because the money you save being here will make your holiday that much better. Good luck!

Room Tip: Ask the staff, they are honest and helpful.

If on a budget, this is perfect. The b&b is clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful. It is a bit of a walk to tube stations but on a bus route. Had a good nights sleep but breakfast in the morning was only basic however plentiful. Would stay again.

I agree with other reviewers that this place is far from the city centre: about 30' on the Central Line between Oxford Circus, and Acton North, followed by a good 20' on foot through a safe neighbourhood (buses ride along the way, but they seem to be infrequent). Lots of eateries and grocery stores/ small supermarkets in the area, open until late. It's a small and welcoming hotel - 16 bedrooms or so, single, double and multiple, each with own bathroom, tiny but clean and new or recently refurbished), very quiet, with polite and friendly staff at the reception. Nescafé and tea available in the room. Good point for Continentals: European electric outlets available in the room, next to their UK equivalents. Note: in my single room 205, the "table" was barely larger than my laptop. A buffet breakfast is served from 7 to 9:30a, basic but plentiful (coffee, tea, juices, milk, cereal, bread, cheese, fruit, etc.).
Wireless access to the Internet costs 2 GBP/24h (I didn't try).
A small surcharge is applied for paying the bill with a credit card (2% with Visa and 4% with Amex).
In summary, a practical option for those who look for a place to get a good night sleep while visiting London. I would certainly stay there again when I go back with my family.
Note: at the tube station I was advised to buy a one-day ticket at 6.60 GBP that covers fare between North Acton and central London + any ride on tube/bus downtown. Highly convenient.

This hotel is located about a 15 - 20 minute walk from tube station, which although not that far can seem seem a little long late at night.

Parking was available and free. Service was very friendly and helpful. Room was compact and clean with all the amenities you would expect.

Would use this hotel again.
