I find the Premier Inn hotels to be affordable accommodation in England. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for affordable but good accommodation in England. I have stayed on different occasions at the Premier Inn in Liverpool, Manchester and London. Always a good experience.

This is a nice small restaurant within the Premier Inn. The meal deal is good value although there is not a great selection of food. If you do not go for the meal deal there is a better selection of food which was always cooked well and the staff were always on hand to help so I cannot fault the service.

Breakfast is very good with all you can eat for 8.95.

This was probably the worst meal I've ever had, or the worst service I've ever had.
Me and my partner were staying at the Premier Inn that weekend for a short break, on our first night we thought we'd try out the thyme restaurant as it was just downstairs.
We booked a table, arrived ontime, there were two waitresses, one waiter and it was fairly busy but not 'heaving'. We waited for 10 minutes, so did the people behind us, even though one of the waitresses was standing right by us on a computer for an awfully long time, and another kept squeezing alongside us to get drinks from the bar we were not acknowledged, nor was anyone else.

We were finally seated, ordered drinks, starter and a main. Drinks came, after an hour still no starter. The waiter that night must have been new, he didn't seem to know where any of the tables were and didn't seem to care. After an hour and 15 my partners 'main' arrived, cold another 15 minutes or so our starters arrived, cold, and after 5 minutes my main, cold. My partner had nearly finished his meal by this point and I wasn't even sure I wanted my meal.

We called over one of the waiters just to explain the situation and to ask for the manager, he was clearly new and just kept saying 'yeah just call over the girl in the purple top'. We didn't really want to have to 'call' her over. Eventually the manager, not the 'girl in the purple top' came over - I really can't believe the staff don't actually know who the manager is.
We explained what had happen and just thought they'd like to know the service had been slow. All she said was the kitchen was very busy. This we can understand, and appreciate that it's a Friday night and busy, but there's no excuse to not simply say 'there may be a bit of a wait'. I've never eaten anywhere else where my starter arrived after my main, and my main arrived after my partner had almost finished his. In the end the waitress offered us the meal free.

Furthermore after she'd left, I found in the veggie pizza I'd ordered (to my horror) had little bits of bacon in. I had to pick my way through the rest of it.

I've worked as a waitress before, even if it is busy, being able to give customer service, even 'good' customer service isn't that difficult.

Needless to say, we didn't eat here again after this experience.
