Had lunch, standard pub fare but more interesting menu than some. Building itself very interesting with lots of quirky olde worlde rooms but 21st century loos, I can only vouch for the ladies. Convenient location and outdoor seating area too.

The George in Southwark is the last remaining galleried pub in London (the others burnt down in 1666).

A fascinating place to visit, it still feels like nothing has changed since 1600!! We can thank The national Trust for that.

Food is good - service is OK -and beers are acceptable.

As a pub the place is OK, but if you love history, this place is a wow!

As a pub this place is ac

A mix of old and modern, nice to sit outside and have one of them greatest beers. Had a fish&chips there too and I must say it was more than decent.

Well we have been going to Borough Market for years and my partner has grown up in London and I'm always amazed by all the little hideaways he knows about, However I managed to trump him with this little find.. It is a gorgeous little pub a little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Borough and London Bridge.. It is heaving with locals and it a great sun trap. We liked it soo much we visited it before we left London too.. the chips are too dye for.. but shhh tell no one!!

Oldest galleried coaching inn in London with association to Shakespeare and Dickens. Such a shame only the southern wing survives but a must see for history and literary fans. The beer was OK too
