We spent a great day just walking around the outside courts and then taking our reserved seats on Court no. 1.
It was so great to be at the real 'home of tennis', and to see such great players close up.
The prices of the strawberries was ridiculous though .... they really know how to make money.

My daughter was offered two tickets for Crt One this year on July 13th. She wanted to take her nephew, my grandson, as a treat for him at the end of his GCSE exams. As a serving police officer she found she has to work that day, so she offered the tickets to her brother in law, so he could take her nephew, his son, instead. He was delighted, took time off work and bought train tickets. My grandson has always been a tennis fan and was hugely excited. When my daughter checked that she could transfer the tickets, in other words, being honest, she had to send proof of the fact she is a police officer, and was working that day. She did this and was then told no. These are seats right up the back of Crt 1, row X, not on Centre court. Now my grandson is very upset and my son in law has wasted money on train tickets. We can get a refund of the money, or she was told she could opt to go the day before, but all too late now as she has other plans for that day. This is despicable! How could the staff be so mean, and penalise people who are genuine fans, unlike some of the corporate groups who go and don't even want to watch the games. I have been to Wimbledon many times over the years, but have never known such cruel behaviour.

One of those places that is overrated. In my opinion, it looks much prettier on TV than in person. Don't get me wrong, it is worth seeing but just not what I expected.

Visited last week with family from America and how lovely it was to, the tour lasts 1 1/2
hours which is great value for money, it was lovely seeing them prepping for wimbledon tennis in july. The one negative is if you want to do the museum and shop don't do what I did and book a tour for 3.00 as you are pushed for time as they close at 5.00pm. But saying that well worth a visit

Don't take a car, there are regular buses from Wimbledon train and tram stations. The pergola restaurant is nice. Bags are searched before entry, no drinks allowed (and they are very pricey!) best view is outside the courts on Henman hill/Murray mount in front of the fish pond.
