“Quite shabby ”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

We had a five bed room. The room was ok for up to three beds. There were no room for the luggage, no wardrobe.
We had to put our bags under the table.
A small bathroom with a bad shower.
Breakfast was served in the room, since there was no Lobby or restaurant. The carpets were old and needed to be replaced.
The staff was friendly though. Not worth the price! You'd better choose a hostel.

You get what you pay for, it is good for the money. The room was very small but did have an ensuite. My only complaint would be the mattress needed replacing. I have to say the staff were very helpfull at all times. The location was very good for us.

Room Tip: Renew mattress and get storage you can open the door on. The cupboard i our room did not open as the...

This hotel on good location, 5 minutes walk to Paddington train station. Easy to travel in london by tube and go to other city by national rail service. The room is small as normal budget room. No lift. No comments for other services.

So I arrived on a Saturday morning, to be greeted by a grotty, worn reception. The receptionist was more occupied with texting than with checking in guests, and between sending snapchats and talking with his colleagues, I got my keys. Up 84 stairs to room number 18 I went, and was greeted by this smell. An indescribable odour of stake takeway mixed with taxi driver sweat and febreeze.

"I'll just pop into the shower and freshen up" I thought, as I picked up a clean, albeit rough towel off the bed. Well! Let me tell you, the shower was not dissimilar to being very lightly spat on from a great height. Water pressure didn't enter the equation, nor did temperature. Ice cold, like a mass produced beer.

As a gentleman of 5' 11", I found the beds to be horizontally challenging, as my feet dangled above the mottled carpet, while enjoying stunning views of the yellowing, stained patchwork I called a ceiling.

Checkout wasn't a thing. Keys were handed in, I was vaguely acknowledged as a human being and I left, with a rather unfair dent in my wallet.

Wholly unimpressed.

Yuk yuk yuk!! Dirty, manky, unclean, crowded, awful interior, clean bed SHEETS mind but just generally unkemp and quite terrible overall. Needs a total overhaul and some tasteful decoration. The continental breakfast on the other hand was quite perfect. Sadly, that was about the only thing going for it. Better elsewhere I say. But perfect location.
