I spent here 2 weeks two times. there were two thefts in my bedroom. I think i ve been stolen 50 £ during the night. I felt unsafe and i decided to leave. There are lots of water leaks and condensation in showers. there is always loud music in the common rooms. There are people in the staff who pick up girls rather than doing their job. Dont go there if you are a party of girls. Perhaps you could wait for 10-15 minutes for someone to help you at the reception when you see 3 people behind the desk. In the kitchen, you hardly find a glass and tools. I saw the guy working in the kitchen with smoking. The computer for internet doesn t work very well. One of the dryer doesnt work well and all the guest waste their money in it. There are not enough keys for all the guests in dorms. Several times i ve stopped at the bedroom door. There were no available keys at the reception and someone forgot to drop the keys at the reception. Outside guests are allowed at the bar. The outside guests doesn t look like good people. i ve been surprised to see the hostel manager after midnight hanging at the bar.

I definitely would not recommend this hostel to others. Five days out of the six we were there, there was no hot water, except for in approximately four showers (bear in mind the hostel has a capacity of five hundred people). Given that generally what you want out of a hostel is a bed and a hot shower, that's pretty bad. While the lack of hot water may not have been the fault of the staff, their attitude towards the situation was unacceptable. They did not put up notices informing people of why the hot water wasn't working and where the showers with hot water were until four days later, when they placed a small sign on the front desk. There was also no apology. In fact, most of the staff were generally indifferent and unhelpful. There were some exceptions to this - one or two members of staff were really great, and one or two others were downright rude. The rooms themselves were fine, but the bathrooms were BAD. Even taking into account the low price, they were not acceptable. Really the only thing to recommend this hostel is its location - its only a ten minute walk from Paddington station, at which the Heathrow Express stops. If you are only in town for one night or so, then you'll probably be fine. But otherwise... find somewhere else. For the sake of your body odour.

there for 10 nights and had a great time! If you know the average English standard, you'll be absolutely satisfied with what you get! The only disadvantage certainly is the constant noise (especially during night), so bring your own ear-plug! Apart from that: Great staff, nice guests, handy facilities and clean rooms and if you're not too keen on staying in your room fo all the time, that's the best (=cheapest) place to go! Have fun...

This place is a true hostel. It is basic but has all the facilities I needed like the net cafe and cooking facilities. I met loads of people in the bar and just had great fun. All the staff were really helpful and they even managed to get me last minute tickets to a West End show for a really cheap price. Would definitley go back again when i return to London.

I was pretty miserable here, feeling like a sardine stuffed into a too-small can. I had a single with a shared bath (there are also hostel-style shared rooms); it had the most uncomfortable "mattress" I have ever slept on. The shared kitchen was smelly, the laundry room was only accessible through a bar full of 18 year olds, and the desk staff was overworked and underknowledgable. I didn't mind the Paddington/ Bayswater neighborhood, but there were approximately 100 hotels between my hotel and the tube station, so it felt like quite a hike-- and then, when I got there, up 4 rickety flights of stairs (no elevator). Sort of cheap, and really feels it.

This hotel is the worst we have ever been.

We have paid 150 pounds (220 €) for three nights and the breakfast was not included. We felt robbed.

No comment about the bedroom. You can imagine how it is.

If we had to look for a new "Bed & Breakfast" in London we would look for in Victoria. The quality will be the same but the location will be better.

I stayed here for two nights and it was excellent. Just a few blocks from Paddington station, and unfailingly cheap and cheerful. The staff were friendly, and there was a separate little travel help area which I thought was a great idea. Internet, free breakfast, TV lounge, and a bar that was packed every night (admittedly, there's not much nightlife in the area to compete).

However, if you are over 25 I would stay away from the bar--definately some amateur drinkers--but it's a great place to stay if you need something inexpensive and easy. Don't forget to ask for your towel--they are free to use but don't aren't in your room upon arrival.
