The location and the condition of the property is reasonable. I would have given 3.5 out of 5. The staff is very helpful and addressed any concern we had. Even though the hotel is reported to be not far from the main attractions, it may sometimes be an overwhelmingly long 20 minutes commute when you have tired children with you. I know I have written a review before but felt I must write another. This hotel continues to impress with its consistency of service and friendliness.
The location is ideal and no matter how busy the hotel is there is the calm of the restaurant and bar.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel in a lovely part of London with ideal transport connections.

We visited as a family, really lovely receptionist brilliant with my boys! The room was very clean and modern, very small for a family room. Breakfast was very good, again with good friendly service. The surround area is fantastic and it was marvellous to get the water shuttle into London. We would definitely stay in this hotel when visiting London and highly recommend this hotel to families.

Stayed at the Novotel for 8 nights during a recent visit to London with some friends. It ended up being an excellent choice. There is easy access to London, with the DLR station being right next door to the hotel. Greenwich Village "town centre" is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, where there is an excellent choice of restaurants available. Breakfast in the hotel was great - maybe a little over crowded and understaffed, but the there was no problem with the food.
An initial point of worry was proximity to the train station, but this is not an issue as the sound proofing in the hotel is excellent, and didn't hear a thing.
Main complaint would have been the air conditioning. The hotel is advertised as air conditioned, but the conditioning in the two rooms that we occupied was totally ineffective. It circulated the air and that was about it. Made for a few sticky nights when the temperatures where up.

For just outside of central London but close to all the attractions of Greenwich this is great hotel. Large and clean rooms, good restaurant and bar for the evenings and breakfast (not the bar). Staff are great and really friendly. Only 6 stops from Canary Wharf on the DLR so a good place to base yourself if you need to commute in daily.
